Welcome back first timers and occasional readers. Take a look at my third, yes third take on Party. I'm adding this time. If you haven't seen them before, check out my other Party decks to get a sense of some of the overlaps and the general "lineage" of what I have in mind for this deck:

  • Puro Pinche Party [Primer] which features Burakos, Party Leaderfoil and Folk Herofoil as the Commanders for the deck. This was my initial take on Party, and is primarily control, with sprinklings of Aggro and Reanimator combo wincons. Burakos is the primary aggro threat and is supported by a few evasive threats, and a variety of control-oriented Party members to help keep threats at bay.

  • Watch the Party Die [Primer] features Terra, Herald of Hopefoil as its commander. For my second iteration of Party, I added in some to heat things up a bit with Aristocrats combo pieces like Goblin Bombardment. This deck is even more combo and reanimator oriented than Burakos, but has a bit easier time sending Terra into combat compared to Burakos, given her inherent evasion. The deck has similar control elements as Burakos. Here's a quick comparison of the 40 cards shared between the 2 decks.

So what's so different about this iteration besides having now? Well. Here's a comparison with Terra's deck and a comparison with Burakos' deck. This deck currently shares about 52-47 similar overlapping cards compared to the other two decks. The overlaps are primarily in: lands (duh), removal, control and interaction, and White/Black aligned Party members.

What is different then? Compared to the other two iterations, this deck is leaning more Aggro, and seeks to go a bit wider by utilizing a suite of Blue Rogues that cannot be blocked. These evasive threats will grow with a full Party, and can chip in for decent damage. Adding Blue also expands our control and interaction suite to include counterspells and opens up more direct draw options typically found in Blue. As a result, the deck lacks a lot of the Reanimator components of the other two iterations as a tradeoff. As always, this deck can be changed up to feature familiar combos.

Primer WIP, but check out the primers for the other two decks to get a sense of overlapping similarities in tech, and substitute in counterspells and evasive Blue Rogues.
