Seasoned Dungeoneer

Creature — Human Warrior

When Seasoned Dungeoneer enters the battlefield, you take the initiative.

Whenever you attack, target attacking Cleric, Rogue, Warrior or Wizard gains protection from creatures until end of turn. It explores. (Reveal the top card of your library. Put that card into your hand if it's a land. Otherwise, put a +1/+1 counter on the creature, then put the card back or put it into your graveyard.)

seems strong, running stax for some control and using jetmir as a buff to win.

given the mana curve, you could manage a bit more with 32-33 lands and run more 1 drop mana guys.

Removal will be helpful, Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Generous Gift, Beast Within, Winds of Abandon, Fateful Absence,

with the creature count, Winota, Joiner of Forces could help give some gas, though you may need to add more humans to make her work better: Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Myrel, Shield of Argive, Brutal Cathar  Flip, Loyal Apprentice, Sanctum Prelate, Caves of Chaos Adventurer, Seasoned Dungeoneer (I have been loving the initiative creatures), Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Ranger-Captain of Eos

some X token spells like Finale of Glory, Pest Infestation, Grand Crescendo, White Sun's Twilight, Martial Coup, Awaken the Woods can also help restore your board state

Thank you for cool the suggestions DawnsRayofLight. I've played Seasoned Dungeoneer a bit in my Burakos, Party Leader/Folk Hero deck before I swapped it out. I totally forgot about Caves of Chaos Adventurer.

My playgroup has a house rule where we introduce Monarch into our games at the end of the third turn rotation. The person going last in turn order becomes Monarch at the end of that turn. I think I may have placed some of the Initiative cards on back burner because I didn't want to have my group track both Monarch and Initiative/Under City at the same time.

Otharri and Neyali are both pretty cool tech. I think the Equipment Voltron Isshin lists are going to get some of the most tech with the newer equipment in the pre-con. I've been play-testing Neyali, Suns' Vanguard a bit in the slot I have Professional Face-Breaker rn. The impulse draw from Neyali is cool for some second-main set up, but feels a little annoying when she impulses some of my instant speed removal & protection.

I'm also testing Mondrak, Glory Dominus in the slot I have Leonin Warleader rn. Norn's Decree is also interesting. Hoping my submission will be live soon.

I have been testing Seasoned Dungeoneer and Caves of Chaos Adventurer in my Isshin list and they have been doing work! Highly recommend. Otharri in the boros pre-con coming up is another card to consider!

If you really want to take advantage of Sefris’ abilities, consider Tortured Existence. It allows you, as long as you have black mana, the ability to trigger Sefris on each players’ turn. Tomb of Horrors Adventurer can give you extra value while giving you access to the Undercity. Seasoned Dungeoneer will do the same as well as possibly beefing up and activating Sefris. Good luck on you dungeon crawl!
