I don’t currently run any {RG}Gruul{RG} decks. I previously tried a Hydra deck with Rosheen Meanderer but it never fired.

I also have a lot of {RG} cards just sitting in boxes and binders not getting any use. So I thought I would look through legendary creatures and see if there was one that I thought would be fun. When I saw Nikya of the Old Ways I thought she might be fun if I really leaned into it

No Sol Ring, no Lightning Greaves, no Cultivate or Kodama's Reach. No planeswalker or enchantments of any sort. Just 39 lands and 60 creatures.

There were a few key card types that I will be missing, so:

Rubblehulk, Kessig Wolf Run, Skarrg, the Rage Pits and are un-counterable instants.

Acidic Slime, Bane of Progress and Terastodon will work as targeted removal sorceries.

Nylea, God of the Hunt and Xenagos, God of Revels are my equipment.

Beast Whisperer, Runic Armasaur, Primordial Sage, and Garruk's Packleader will all be card draw enchantments.

Farhaven Elf, Springbloom Druid, and Yavimaya Elder are my mana ramp, along with Somberwald Sage as a mana rock.

Polukranos, World Eater and Lifeblood Hydra are bad versions of a Fireball and Stream of Life.
