Introduction

This list is based on my Ancestral Animar. I've had a lot of fun with that deck and I'd strongly recommend building towards my list if you have any interest in playing Animar competitively, but it's not cheap, sadly.

For this deck, I've made a few small budget cuts to the base list aiming for a cap of $1000 total. I've removed all my foils and fancy printings, plus a handful of staggeringly overpriced cards like Duals, Cradle, Mox Diamond etc. It should still play well at almost every table, but it'll lose a bit of an edge compared to a fully optimized list.

Here's hoping this list provides a path for more players to get in on the fun!
