Seriously though, it would probably be better in this deck as a Serra Avenger. If you don't like the idea of casting that t4 and can't afford Aether Vials, then maybe play Aerial Responder or Aven Sunstriker. Adorned Pouncer might find a place in the deck as a way to give the team double strike. Voice of All is good too as it gives everything flying and is another way to get protection from a chosen color.

Idyllic Tutor is a little pricy but does add consistency. Unfortunately there aren't really any budget alternatives.

I would recommend adding in several more mana rocks and a few more lands as well. There are also lots of cards in the deck that pretty much don't help you and can be cut. I will list some below:

Serra's Blessing - vigilance to all your guys doesn't really do much in general, especially when they come in tapped with Kaalia. Something like Dragon Tempest that gives Kaalia haste would be a much more useful enchantment.

Dread Cacodemon - it doesn't usually do anything other than be a vanilla 8/8, which isn't really what you are looking for in a Kaalia deck. You want your creatures to provide utility, be hard to get rid of, or be so destructive that your opponents are forced to get rid of them or lose. This could technically be hardcast I guess, but those occasions will be extremely rare. It doesn't destroy stuff when Kaalia cheats it out. This block applies to Reiver Demon as well.

Exalted Angel - unless you're super set on playing the entirety of FtV Angels, this card just isn't good enough. Other underwhelming cards I would consider cutting include Seraph of the Sword, Serra Angel, Serra Avenger, Voice of All, Subjugator Angel, Sunblast Angel, and Soulflayer

Firemane Avenger - Battalion is a little harder to do than you might think, and it has the problem of being a "when this attacks" Trigger, which doesn't happen when it comes down with Kaalia. The trigger not happening, by the way, can very easily be abused to great effect. See Rakdos the Defiler and Master of Cruelties (the latter of which, if unblocked and brought in with Kaalia, will immediately drop your opponent's life to 1, at which point Kaalia will deal two and kill them). I would cut Mana-Charged Dragon for similar reasons.

Things I would recommend adding:

A ton of two-cost ramp: signets, etc. It gets Kaalia out a turn earlier, unlikely Darksteel Ingot.

At LEAST two more lands. Probably more.

Rakdos the Defiler and Master of Cruelties (mentioned above)

Utvara Hellkite - it's basically a much more terrifying Skyline Despot. I'd take out the despot for it.

Swiftfoot Boots - slightly worse lightning greaves is still amazing

Graveyard recursion like Unburial Rites - sadly, your stuff will die :( Recursion mitigates that!

You could definitely be a lot more liberal with cuts than I have suggested here, but these are the edits that jumped out at me most. Check out my Kaalia deck Dies Irae for more inspiration! I'm very happy with the creatures I've narrowed that deck down to, so feel free to look through those for replacements for cards you have found not especially useful.

Finally, being mardu, you could consider a Sunforger package. Always a fun time.

Toss out Brave the Elements and mainboard Ghostway. Which also allows you to reset the color choices on Pentarch Paladin and Voice of All.

Hey lagotripha, thanks for the suggestions.

I have not seen Endless Horizons before. That looks like a fantastic card! I'll see where I can find some and try some playtests with it in the deck. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx was present for synergy with knights, but I might cut it and a Condemn to slot two of these in. Comboed with Knight of the White Orchid, Path to Exile, and two Extraplanar Lens I'll be getting soon, this could be the perfect amount of mana ramp and guaranteed activation of Emeria, The Sky Ruin. This is deadly good, thank you!

I like the look of the rest of the cards but am somewhat reserved, as I would like to keep the deck focused on control and late-game angels rather than further early-game board presence, despite their angelic theme. Angel of Jubilation seems effective but a bit too niche (AFAIK), while Archangel of Tithes overlap with Ghostly Prison in my sideboard. Also, Sublime Archangel doesn't synergize as well with Wall of Omens (defender) and the larger angels.

Restoration Angel and Voice of All pique my interest. They could have a place, although I'd have to think what I'd move around. I might be more comfortable with Restoration Angel replacing Cloudshift if Endless Horizons + Extraplanar Lens serves as a strong combo. I'll add them to my maybeboard.

I had a friend running a similar list, although their endgame was Luminarch Ascension, Serra Avenger and 4/5 drop angels. I'll quietly reccomend Endless Horizons, as it helps substantially with late game mana stability while also filtering your deck. Angel of Jubilation. while bolt-vulnerable substantially messes with combo, and provides a lot of devotion. Archangel of Tithes is better, and helps pillowfort style stall, and Guardian Seraph is remarkably good at dealing with swarms. Restoration Angel is a modern staple for a reason. If you find youself going lower on the curve with smaller creatures Sublime Archangel can output a substantial amount of damage. Voice of All is a little small, but very resilient to non-trample strategies, especially with flicker.

Take out Dragonspeaker Shaman and Dragonlord's Servant.Oros, the Avenger and Voice of All are good, and keep in mind that most successful Kaalia decks are mostly Angels. Good budget lands: Shadowblood Ridge Smoldering Marsh Dragonskull Summit Clifftop Retreat Isolated Chapel Foreboding Ruins Temple of Malice Temple of Silence Temple of Triumph Rocky Tar Pit. The fastlands from Scars of Mirrodin and Kaladesh are also good considerations, and for a bit more money, the Shadowmoor/Eventide filterlands are great.

I think you could take out Emancipation Angel, Illusory Angel, Guardian Seraph, Indomitable Archangel, Lightkeeper of Emeria, Malach of the Dawn, Seraph of Dawn, Avenging Angel, Herald of the Host, Patron of the Valiant, Dawnbreak Reclaimer, Archangel, Angel of Salvation

I also think you could cut some lands, 38 is a good number. Bant Panorama, Seaside Citadel are good to add back in

Harsh Mercy seems good as well

you have very little enter the battlefield effects, maybe add Torpor Orb or Hushwing Gryff

It seems like your heavy hitters are 4 mana and up, so i think your ramp should cost less than 4. This way you're not decieding betweenn casting an angel or ramping for other angels. Maybe cut Explosive Vegetation for Rampant Growth. you could cut Belbe's Portal and Quicksilver Amulet for that same reasoning. You could add Simic Signet, Selesnya Signet and Azorius Signet for more ramp as well

Maybe cut Caged Sun for Mirari's Wake.

I think you need some card draw as well. maybe Rhystic Study or Distant Melody, Zendikar Resurgent

You could run some anthems to pump your team as well, I think Door of Destinies could be really good in this type of deck

Lurking Predators is the Quicksilver Amulet type effect you want i think. maybe take out Selvala's Stampede for it?
