Man I gotta say this deck is a lot of fun and is a surefire way to cause some rage amongst opponents. Definitely a pretty good build but I made a few minor changes. I think it’s worth adding a couple Demystify cards to deal with mill decks and I also use Profane Procession  Flip which I found to be extremely useful for creature heavy decks (in addition to dishing out some hate depending on what you exile). I’m also curious how you feel about using Revival / revenge . I’ve used a couple of them in my deck and in addition to Ethereal Absolution it can stifle a lot of different decks. I’d also advocate for using those Sentinel Totem cards like FastIsFaster said. After playing a graveyard deck I thought the totems would be very useful in addition to getting more artifacts to amplify Karn’s -2. All in all though man you put together a great deck that I’ve really enjoyed playing around with so kudos on the build mate!

I think Unmoored Ego is an all-star in G2 and G3, but having it in your main deck is a bit awkward in my opinion. It doesn't do anything to a threat on board, only stopping more copies of something. I think this slot could be better utilized by another counter spell ( Absorb or Sinister Sabotage ), removal, or something that can exile ( Seal Away , Profane Procession  Flip, or Conclave Tribunal ).

If you wanted, you could even run Ixalan's Binding ), as it does hit something on board and guarantee they can't cast something of the same name

Some of those definitely seem like direct upgrades. I think I'll keep Underworld Connections , Profane Procession  Flip and Oathsworn Vampire for now, as their replacements a little pricey.

Voldaren Pariah  Flip, Nirkana Revenant , Patron of the Vein , Big Game Hunter are great additions, will look to pick these up I think. Tragic Poet is just in there as a reusable way of getting back enchantments, maybe it's unnecessary.

No trouble!

Personally, I don't like the rate on Banewhip Punisher , Oathsworn Vampire (It's just really bad Bloodghast ), Sadistic Skymarcher , Tragic Poet , Foul-Tongue Shriek , Chalice of Life  Flip, Fountain of Renewal , Bishop of the Bloodstained (Anthems and Sanctum Seeker will just be a lot more damage over the course of a game), Ravenous Chupacabra , Profane Procession  Flip, or Underworld Connections . They're all just very low impact in a 40-life, 4-player format, with the exception of the last two. Profane Procession  Flip is just so much more expensive than something like Rise of the Dark Realms , and while you're not the first person I've talked to who seems to think Underworld Connections is an acceptable substitute for Phyrexian Arena , man is it ever worse.

I don't like the rate on Call the Bloodline , either, unless you want to go deeper on a Madness or Reanimator theme, which could work, since you might want Voldaren Pariah  Flip, anyway. If you did that, Call to the Netherworld gets back Elenda, Big Game Hunter is a nice replacement for Banewhip Punisher , Bishop of Rebirth could be decent, and bigger vamps like Nirkana Revenant , Patron of the Vein , Necropolis Regent , Guul Draz Overseer , Vish Kal, Blood Arbiter , and Butcher of Malakir become much more attractive. That would require a lot of changes, though. You could keep Profane Procession  Flip and get a lot more out of Crypt of Agadeem that way, though, so maybe don't rule it out.

For the good cards ... I'm not a regular Sydri pilot, but here's a penny for my thoughts on this fun commander. Tamiyo's Journal is a good beater that plops out artifacts/draw. Faerie Artisans / Thoughtcast / Thirst for Knowledge are really good for this deck, Dispatch / Stoic Rebuttal is always good for redundancy. March of the Machines is good in case your commander gets tree'd or stolen . Mechanized Production might be good for Phyrexian Metamorph / Master of Etherium /tokens from Sharding Sphinx / Smothering Tithe etc.

For the weaker cards ... Planar Cleansing could be replaced with Hour of Revelation . Profane Procession  Flip/ Predator, Flagship could go because of its overall cost, and it doesn't do anything else over time or when it enters, and it doesn't fit the themes of the deck. Revel in Riches might be good with the amount of board wipes but you'll be targeted for it, it's an upkeep trigger (so people will have time to respond, and with sorceries). Treasure Map  Flip is rather weak because it turns into a land so you can't abuse it like an artifact, and is 5 mana to eventually draw 3 or maybe 3+ cards. Treasure Mage does 'draw' and the best big artifact to abuse, but it's overall 9 mana unless you have Master Transmuter or something, and doesn't get any wincon that I can see. Ruthless Knave takes a lot of hoops to get through to draw or ramp, but a lot of my criticisms were at the treasure cards so you keep that theme then drawing more cards for no mana is good. Palladium Myr is not ramp, it's just sadness. Sphinx of the Steel Wind is expensive for a 7 turn clock on turn seven, but it's fun because it could fit your meta and is protected from the colors outside your color pie.

For win cons ... Aetherflux Reservoir / Staff of Nin / Caltrops are all all-star with this commander, and Tezzeret the Seeker could fetch caltrops/aetherflux but non paradox engine etc. If you're interested in a combo win, you could do Sword of the Meek / Thopter Foundry , or Sharuum the Hegemon / Phyrexian Metamorph and something to abuse the etb loop like Altar of the Brood / Genesis Chamber / Contraband Kingpin / Disciple of the Vault / Blood Artist / Marionette Master etc.

Hey!

First of all: I like your idea! In your description you mention Carnage Tyrant to be a real problem to deal with (because it is a 3-turn-clock and has hexproof as well). I may have some ideas ...

1.) What of making the whole approach more like a big toolbox? Max out the Mastermind's Acquisition and design your sideboart to provide some options if you need them.

-2 Chromium, the Mutable, -1 Rekindling Phoenix // +3 Mastermind's Acquisition

2.) I feel like some of your one-offs may not show up often enough, when you need them, despite having some nice carddraw. Personally I would run more removal to deal with the biggest threat I sense for a build like this: (really) fast aggro decks

-1 Profane Procession  Flip, -1 Thaumatic Compass  Flip, -1 Treasure Map  Flip // +1 Deafening Clarion, +2 Settle the Wreckage

Why that way? Simply because Settle the Wreckage gets rid of that big, unfriendly dinosaur. Procession and the transformed compass will not handle it on their own (you'll need a Detection Tower, but the requirement of 4 colors won't leave really much space for a colorless mana source, I think).

3.) Ever thought about Teferi's "brother in arms", Ral, Izzet Viceroy? He provides cardadvantage, acts as some kind of removal (with enough instants/sorceries he maybe shoot something big other than a tyrant) and his Emblem is kinda both ...

4.) I Don't think you really need 3 Justice Strike in the mainboard. Best thing to answer a threat is on the stack by countering it:

-1 Justice Strike // +1 Ionize

5.) I would try to add some other carddraw besides Risk Factor. On low life, no sane opponent will take the damage, so you'll safe to say "I draw three". Unfortunately there are some decks with many lifelink or lifegain in general out there. They are happy to take the damage because it won't matter that much to them and you'll end up with an empty hand. The most reliable carddraw in my opinion would probably be Chemister's Insight, Radical Idea, and Divination.

6.) Following the thought from number 1.), here are my suggestions for adapting your board:

-1 Arguel's Blood Fast  Flip // +1 Chromium, the Mutable

-1 Doom Whisperer // +1 Settle the Wreckage (Yes, you really don't like that dinosaur!)

-2 Ixalan's Binding // +1 The Eldest Reborn, +1 Demanding Dragon

-2 Thought Erasure // +1 Duress, +1 Vona's Hunger

This would be my thoughts so far. Maybe you'll need to up or down one or another land to provide your colors, but the actual completely even distribution seems fine to me.

I agree that you should keep your mana costs low and you already run a lot of cards at cmc 3, but your only means of REMOVING on board threats are three board wipes and the ability of Profane Procession  Flip. I'm just saying if they have answers to enchantments, you might be kinda screwed. Also, Gideon of the Trials seems like a decent idea if you add Gideon's Intervention lol.

My version shifted through a variety of color combinations including sultai, but I think I have settled on dimir and primarily using Surgical Extraction. Turn 1 inquisition into surgical seems like fun.
