Profane Procession Discussion

First of all: I like your idea! In your description you mention Carnage Tyrant to be a real problem to deal with (because it is a 3-turn-clock and has hexproof as well). I may have some ideas ...
1.) What of making the whole approach more like a big toolbox? Max out the Mastermind's Acquisition and design your sideboart to provide some options if you need them.
2.) I feel like some of your one-offs may not show up often enough, when you need them, despite having some nice carddraw. Personally I would run more removal to deal with the biggest threat I sense for a build like this: (really) fast aggro decks
Why that way? Simply because Settle the Wreckage gets rid of that big, unfriendly dinosaur. Procession and the transformed compass will not handle it on their own (you'll need a Detection Tower, but the requirement of 4 colors won't leave really much space for a colorless mana source, I think).
3.) Ever thought about Teferi's "brother in arms", Ral, Izzet Viceroy? He provides cardadvantage, acts as some kind of removal (with enough instants/sorceries he maybe shoot something big other than a tyrant) and his Emblem is kinda both ...
4.) I Don't think you really need 3 Justice Strike in the mainboard. Best thing to answer a threat is on the stack by countering it:
5.) I would try to add some other carddraw besides Risk Factor. On low life, no sane opponent will take the damage, so you'll safe to say "I draw three". Unfortunately there are some decks with many lifelink or lifegain in general out there. They are happy to take the damage because it won't matter that much to them and you'll end up with an empty hand. The most reliable carddraw in my opinion would probably be Chemister's Insight, Radical Idea, and Divination.
6.) Following the thought from number 1.), here are my suggestions for adapting your board:
This would be my thoughts so far. Maybe you'll need to up or down one or another land to provide your colors, but the actual completely even distribution seems fine to me.

I agree that you should keep your mana costs low and you already run a lot of cards at cmc 3, but your only means of REMOVING on board threats are three board wipes and the ability of Profane Procession Flip. I'm just saying if they have answers to enchantments, you might be kinda screwed. Also, Gideon of the Trials seems like a decent idea if you add Gideon's Intervention lol.
My version shifted through a variety of color combinations including sultai, but I think I have settled on dimir and primarily using Surgical Extraction. Turn 1 inquisition into surgical seems like fun.

CrimsonKing so I did have 2 Settle the Wreckage in the sideboard, but found that there was almost no matchup that I want to bring them in. My original thought was that it would be good against Izzet Pheonix, but between Seal Away, Vraska's Contempt, Profane Procession Flip and even Thaumatic Compass Flip, the only problem that I have against them are their sideboard cards (Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Firemind's Research, Ral, Izzet Viceroy and sometimes Sarkhan, Fireblood) and I usually leave Settle in the sideboard. Even against aggro decks I tend to not need Settle with all the maindeck removal/sweepers. I haven't played against a Carnage Tyrant deck yet and I will definitely try to find room for 2 Cleansing Nova in the sideboard, but right now my worst matchup that I absolutely need to improve is Jeskai.

I mean, the deck is flavorful, but without ramp, I don't think Awakened Amalgam is a great plan, but if you want my advice, drop the mainboard Duresses, Weatherlights, Legion's Landing Flips, and Profane Procession Flip, or sideboard them out, because you need a sideboard and to cut the deck to a clean 60.

At the beginning of your upkeep, return an enchantment from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Enchantment reanimator/control? With multiple copies of Haunting Spellcraft, it would have the resiliency required to hold it's own against Golgari, even in the grindiest of matchups. Might have problems with control if you can't get one resolved, tho.
But seriously, 4 History of Benalia, 4 Rite of Belzenlok, 3+ The Eldest Reborn, 3+ Conclave Tribunal, 3 Ajani's Last Stand, maybe some Profane Procession Flips, a bunch of weird one-off enchantments....
Anyway, make another build-around for Competitive Standard, with the caveat that it has to belong to a non-Orzhov guild.

I like them both, especially the malevolance. I think that the malevolence thing is so Orzhov, it could be printed as is in the next Ravnica (naturally, tweaked for balance - more on this below). The problem with these is they are obnoxious in draft. I think they are still too cheap. I would increase the converted mana cost to 5 and even then they are still slam-dunk bombs in limited.
Another issue with these is that they have not been reprinted in a while - perhaps wotc has retired this mechanic on an enchantment all together. Last I remeber it was printed on a rare in Khans of Tarkir and it was a one-time use instant.
TLDR: Good cards, but not for standard sets. Probably in the next commander set though.

I also like to generally mark which cards are in Exile, because there can be "multiple exile zones" in the game.
At face-value, this is obviously wrong. You don't get two graveyards, two libraries, two hands... same with the exile zone.
However, some cards require specific cards from exile.
So what happens on the weird off-chance you run both? You need to know who exiled what. A less clunky idea is having out multiple Banisher Priests, say via Clone effects or copy effects ala Helm of the Host.
Generally what I like to do is exile the card underneath my permanent that did the work. So if I exile a Glorybringer with my Profane Procession Flip, I'll ask my opponent if it's okay that I slip GB under my Procession as to recall not only how many times I have used it, but who I used it on. Otherwise, I may end up incorrectly using -X on an illegal target.
I know the question has been answered by some better and more informed users, but I wanted to share some insight into the matter and some ways to advert confusion should you find yourself in a similar situation :)
