Shalai deck for EDH - The deck has lots of synergies around +1/+1 counters. Shalai gives everything hex-proof, but herself. So protecting her and protecting against board-wipes is important - Looking for suggestions/advice. The meta I play in does not allow infinite combos (Only 4 repeated iterations) and no taking out players early. In the future I may make a hydra version of this deck.

Some win cons are waiting for someone to swing in for big damage thinking they have you then flashing in Selfless squire and then sending Selfless squire right back at them on your turn. Managorger hydra and Forgotten Ancient can get out of hand for opponents if they're allowed to stick for a couple turns. Odric, Master Tactician or Champion of Lambholt can allow you to smash with advantage. If you can can Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Shalai down together opponents have a really difficult time dealing with your board state.
