A deck built for user evenable311 who uses Managorger Hydra and Hardened Scales to really inflict some damage to the opposition. Built in Naya ({G}{R}{W}) colors originally, it stands to wipe out your opponents by turn 3-4.

The Theme

"Go Gorge Yourself"

The original intent of this deck was to use very overwhelming value enchantments to make 'X' factor cards such as Banefire truly lethal. In one of two ways:

• Using classic Channel and Fireball mechanics to deliver a deadly blow. Banefire is a key example.

• Use Hydra creatures that grow exponentially with each passing action due to a healthy stack of "scales" type effects.

The featured cards that really make "scales" flourish are:

The Goal

"Overwhelming Hydra Onslaught"

The original cast of the deck is hard to remember considering it started back in 2019-2020. The latest roster is super nasty, but previous iterations were grand too. Some noteworthy Hydras were:

Another school of thought could be to lean into casting the damn spells yourself and going bonkers with it. Using Aeve, Progenitor Ooze is a core example of how to go dumb. Detailed below is a toolbox of cards that can make this happen a little easier:

And of course because you're in classic storm fashion, if Managorger Hydra didn't reach the Pinnacle, you can wipe an opponent with a Grapeshot or potentially save yourself with a Weather the Storm.

Birgi, God of Storytelling   is a great way to prioritize your mana ramp and do a variety of things. For instances where spell count counts you could use Faithless Salvaging.

If you happen to cast Dual Strike in preparation, you can do things like ramp (Manamorphose, Rite of Flame) and then cast out your hand of Hydras and Oozes!. Protect your Managorger Hydra with our detailed white stuff like Giver of Runes and you're set!
