This deck works equally well with Korvold, Fae-Cursed King in the Command Zone and on the battlefield. The general goal of this deck is to create permanents that serve to be sent to the graveyard, sacrificing them for benefits like extra mana, card draw, etc., and using Korvold, Fae-Cursed King to consume your opponents. See below for each sub-strategy help better explain how this deck works.

Self sacrificing prey:

Tokens like Treasure, Food, and Clue are amazing fodder because they can self terminate. This means that you do not need to rely on other cards to sacrifice these tokens when you are in a tight spot and need something to take the bullet. Note that cards like Chandra, Acolyte of Flame and Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker make tokens that self sacrifice at the beginning of your end step which serves a similar purpose as the tokens mentioned above.

Recycling:

Cards with ETB (Enter the Battlefield) effects are more affective in this deck than most others because on top of getting the ETB effect, you get sacrifice fodder, and you can re-use the card after you sacrifice it with cards like Reanimate to get the ETB effect a second time. Another cool thing about this aspect is cards like Purphoros, God of the Forge and Zulaport Cutthroat enhance your payoff when you recycle your fodder.

Sacrificing for Mana:

Cards like Harrow and Elvish Reclaimer work with the deck so well, you'd think Wizards crafted them for this deck. While both cards mentioned above sacrifice lands for mana, one ramps/mana fixes so you can cast Korvold, Fae-Cursed King earlier, and the other replaces the one land with a possibly better one like Field of the Dead or Command Beacon allowing you to tailor your board to your situation.

Tron:

If there was a sub-theme to this deck, it would be tron. This should be to no surprise because Korvold, Fae-Cursed King is already going to be the card that wins you the game so might as-well add cards like Swiftfoot Boots and Rancor to ensure your commander 'tramples' over your opponents. Some other key tron cards in this deck are Gift of Doom stopping destroy creature spells/effects and Shadowspear stopping chump blockers like Faerie Rogue from soaking up all of the damage on your opponent's behalf.
