Dina's Delectable Tea or Deadly Poison

Commander / EDH* BG (Golgari)

Maybeboard

The idea behind the deck is to make it a mid bracket 3 while using a lower end strategy that is life gain instead of aristocrats or infinite combo, though there are 2 of the later in the deck.

To meet bracket 3 requirements the deck is limited to 3 game changer cards, no repeating extra turns and no mass land denial.

The combos in the deck are: Bloodthirsty Conquerer + Dina, Soul Steeper/Starscape Cleric/Marauding Blight-Priest

Bolas's Citadel + Aetherflux Reservoir + Sensei's Divining Top

The expectation is to not consistently have these combos hit the field until at minimum turn 7 as stated in the Q&A session about the new system.

The breakdown of the deck is:

38 lands

11 ramp (1 repeatable)

14 single target removal (3 repeatable)

13 card draw (10 repeatable)

5 boardwipes

35 lifegain theme

5 protection

4 graveyard recursion (2 repeatable)

If this deck was to be pushed to the higher end of 3 and into 4 my recommendation would be to switch to a combo oriented deck using Exquisite Blood/Bloodthirsty Conquerer + Dina or Witherbloom Apprentice + Chain of Smog.

The land base is already optimized to be resilient against Blood Moon and other land denial.
