This is a fun deck that has proven fairly agile in my group's varied meta.

The star of the show is Taigam, Ojutai Master and the deck is built around his ability to rebound instant and sorcery spells when he has attacked during the turn. In order to maximize the use of Taigam's abilities the deck focuses on a few important categories.

Protection for Taigam

In order to trigger Taigam's rebound ability he needs to attack so attack he does.....at least in theory. The ideal is to get out Whispersilk Cloak to make Taigam unblockable, but in a pinch onetime spells such as Shadow Rift can get two rounds of benefit when rebounded. For repeatable options Maze of Ith, Gideon Blackblade and Thassa, God of the Sea will all allow Taigam the ability to attack with some protection.

Tax, Tax and Tax

In order to buy Taigam time to find the pieces he needs the deck will tax our opponents without shame. Ghostly Prison and Propaganda slow down opponents from launching a large attack, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV slows down the plans of opponents and both Smothering Tithe and Rhystic Study speed up Taigam's ability to launch big spells with rebound.

Clear the Way

The deck does not play a heavy creature load so it is packed with a decent number of removal options. From the targeted Swords to Plowshares to a full board wipe with Cyclonic Rift. Being able to cast these with rebound and without fear or being countered helps to make targeted cheap removal have quite an impact.

Win Con

Perhaps the most effective and dreaded method of closing out a game with Taigam is through Dovescape. By using Taigam's built-in counter protection we can create an army of birds while still pushing through our spells on original casting and rebound. In addition the spell is quite effective in shutting down non-creature spells our opponents cast while typically leaving them with a bird army that while generally pale in comparison to our own. While I don't typically run them to keep from overloading the group Divine Visitation and Anointed Procession can push the birds over the edge.

The token production of Dovescape is hard to rival, but Monastery Mentor, Murmuring Mystic and Talrand, Sky Summoner all provide methods to get numerous tokens on the battlefield and can be used either to absorb blows from our opponents or two launch a large attack.

For those with a meta that have someone in love with massive green trample decks cough my wife cough Clone Legion and Rite of Replication can turn opponents power against them. Very few things are more satisfying then then cloning a whole army.....then rebounding it for a devastating second blow.
