This deck aims to control the board with it's wrath sub-theme while swinging out with Zetalpa, Primal Dawn to deal to deal a lethal dose of Commander damage to your opponents for the win.

The Deck

Our Commander:

Zetalpa, Primal Dawn is a great Voltron commander due to the keyword soup printed in his rules text. Flying gives him some evasion, Double-Strike and Trample ensure that you get Commander damage through, Vigilance gives you some solid defense, and most importantly Indestructible provides protection from both the plethora of wraths I (as well as my opponents) run not to mention blanking all non-exile/sacrifice removal. Not to mention, has there EVER been a better wielder of Worldslayer ? I think not...

Our Alternate Win-Cons:

With a converted mana cost of 8, it doesn't take many exile effects such as Path to Exile , Swords to Plowshares , and Merciless Eviction to render our general uncastable for a few turns, not to mention his susceptibility to Maze of Ith type effects. In these scenarios, we will need to suit up one of our alternate commanders to get damage through:

• Armory Automaton
• Balan, Wandering Knight
• Heliod, God of the Sun
• Oketra the True

I am also strongly considering adding an Approach of the Second Sun as another win-con.

Our Ramp (with assorted notes):

• Sol Ring -- obligatory inclusion
• Sword of the Animist -- this card ALWAYS over-performs
• Mind Stone -- good in all phases of the game
• Marble Diamond -- could really be any 2-mana CMC rock
• Coldsteel Heart -- Marble Diamond #2, with the added bonus of occasionally getting hit by Scrying Sheets
• Extraplanar Lens
• Inspiring Statuary -- this thing is b-a-n-a-n-a-s in a Voltron deck and IMHO criminally underplayed in Commander
• Kor Cartographer -- Solemn Simulacrum #1.5
• Solemn Simulacrum -- the best non-green ramp in the format
• Smothering Tithe -- staple for mono-white and overall 'value train' (choo! choo!)

Our Card Draw/Advantage (with assorted notes):

White is the color with the least amount of on-color help in this category. That being said, we do have access to a color with a LOT of great options for deck thinning:

• Land Tax -- c-c-c-combo with Terrain Generator , White's best one drop
• Weathered Wayfarer -- can get ANY land, White's second-best one drop
• Tithe -- always Mistveil Plains , always...
• Endless Atlas -- this seems very good for any 1-2 color deck
• Dawn of Hope -- this is a very versatile White card, probably a new staple
• Sram, Senior Edificer -- almost an engine all by himself
• Puresteel Paladin -- all your Equipment now replaces itself and FREE equips
• Pilgrim's Eye -- meh... can always carry a sword if necessary
• Endless Horizons -- early/mid game I exile 5-6 to hit land drops to get to Zetalpa, Primal Dawn , late game I take all of my basic lands to thin out my deck
