Attempt #2 at Yawgmoth after receiving some help on building this deck and taking some inspiration from many of the decks on here, especially Enral's Primer. It's not a super focused deck, and I mostly just want to have fun with it and try things I think are cool, so these win conditions aren't always the most... efficient?

The deck runs a few win conditions, but it all starts with creating a good card draw engine through sacrificing tokens and recurrable creatures and using that to establish and/or execute one of those conditions.

  1. Butcher Ghoul + Geralf's Messenger + Blood Artist: Essentially this combo can be done with any 2 creatures with Undying, whether they have it naturally or they are getting it from being non-human creatures while Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is on the field. Sacrifice the first creature to Yawgmoth, let it come back with a +1/+1 Counter. Sacrifice the second creature to Yawgmoth, but this time make sure that the -1/-1 Counter specifically goes onto the first creature, cancelling out the +1/+1 counter on it, and letting it recur again. Repeat the process over and over, drawing out quite a lot of your deck. In the process, blood artist will continually ping everyone, and grant you life, cancelling out the 1 life you pay for Yawgmoth's ability. Even if you don't have 2 undying creatures, you can do this to draw quite a few cards, and if your opponent's have creatures, Nest of Scarabs will give you extra tokens to sacrifice while whittling down their creatures. If you don't have Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance or Zulaport Cutthroat on the field, creatures like Kokusho, the Evening Star, Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Geralf's Messenger make sure you're dishing out than you're taking, and the number of cards you draw will mean you will more likely than not draw into one of those previous cards to stabilize your life total.

  2. Ichor Rats or Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon: The infect on these creatures can be proliferated with Yawgmoth's final ability. If you establish some sort of good card draw engine, and strong source of mana (attainable through many cards - Black Market, Cabal Coffers, Cabal Stronghold, Extraplanar Lends, Crypt Ghast and Liliana of the Dark Realms), you can use a bunch of the extra cards you draw as discard fodder to proliferate those poison counters. This can get done in anywhere between 1-3 turns depending on how far the game is and how your board state is.

  3. Ult a Planeswalker: The same process that can proliferate poison counters can also increase planeswalker counters until they can ultimate (anywhere from the turn they drop to a couple turns after depending on how well you can set it up). Planeswalkers like an ultimate from Ugin, the Spirit Dragon will basically all but assure a win, especially with all the drawing and hand sculpting you'll get to do in the process of getting him to his ultimate. Karn Liberated and Liliana, Dreadhorde General also essentially assure you the win. Liliana of the Dark Realms, Liliana Vess and Liliana, the Last Hope give you a pretty insurmountable advantage that can drive you towards victory as well. ... ...Listen I really like Liliana, and this deck is the perfect opportunity / excuse to play a ton of her cards.

  4. Get a lot of mana. use Torment of Hailfire. Profit. Super simple, doesn't really use Yawgmoth's ability direclty, but the insane card draw lets you get that crazy mana, or the tutors to get that crazy mana much more consistently.

  5. Kill them with tokens? I dunno man, 5 is a nice, round number. Set up the card draw, set up your mana, execute the most easily attainable win condition with what you have on your board by that point and you're good. Usually, you don't really much mana at all to make win condition #1 work - basically 4-6 lands/mana will net you the ability to play everything you need to make the magic happen.

Also there's a decent chance I'll just replace something in here with Phyrexian Obliterator because... I mean c'mon it's cool as shit.
