That's Worth One Quarter Portion- Daretti

Commander / EDH Artifact Mono-Red

Daretti was my first (and arguably still my favorite) commander deck. When the C14 decklists became public, and I scrolled through the lists hoping for one of them to capture my interests, Daretti, and his scrappy artifact shenanigans had me from the start. So still to this day I tweek and play this deck.

Lands Show

Artifact Lands

Great Furnace , Darksteel Citadel

These lands are always artifacts, helping hit metalcraft counts (eg: Mox Opal ) while providing sac fodder for the sac team. Auto-includes

Tutoring Lands

Inventors' Fair

Alright, Inventors' Fair is the nuts. SO good that I added Expedition Map to tutor for it.

Land Removal

Wasteland , Strip Mine , Dust Bowl

Mono color has the benefit of allowing you to play an abundance of utility lands without the potential drawbacks. Why not use these slots to blow up others lands and cause them issue? EDH is full of ridiculously powerful utility lands Maze of Ith , Glacial Chasm , Cabal Coffers , etc. Blowing them up is beneficial... and just feels nice

Fetchlands

Bloodstained Mire , Wooded Foothills , Arid Mesa , and Scalding Tarn

With our land removal package (discussed above) and sacrificial self-sacrificing utility lands (eg: Buried Ruin , Myriad Landscape , Inventors' Fair , Sequestered Stash . The card is well worth running.

Artifact Recursion

Buried Ruin , Sequestered Stash

We are heavily invested in artifacts. returning our blown-up babies to hand is really useful, especially since everyone always blows up the best ones. Sequestered Stash also has the benefit of milling some of our library into the graveyard. something both card: Daretti and Goblin Welder are more than happy to utilize.

Other Utility lands

Command Beacon : Daretti is a "remove on sight" target who gets slapped around and sent back to the command zone often. this thing basically reads "sarcfice me, and play Daretti for ". Great card!

Geier Reach Sanitarium : A newer addition to the deck. since this deck reanimates artifacts left and center, looting (discard to draw) effects are right at home here. having one on a land is great!

Haven of the Spirit Dragon : two of our win conditions Hellkite Tyrant , Hellkite Igniter are dragons. plus, we run the big man himself, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon . Returning any of them to hand for another round of kicking ass is great.

Homeward Path : in case you haven't noticed yet, a lot of this deck's win conditions are based on one big juicy threat crushing skulls. Bribery and such cards which get these bad boys swinging at us aren't cool (a Blightsteel Colossus or Hellkite Tyrant swinging at us is probably gg). Keep our sluggers in line with this beauty.

Maze of Ith : Staple. a tool to stop one big swing from knocking us out.

Myriad Landscape : I find this card under-rated. use it to ramp when you runout of things to spend mana on. or if someone blows up your mountains this will fetch for more.

Rogue's Passage : As mentioned earlier, this deck relies on pushing a singular threat through to win. This card makes it so much easier.
