Huh, so, this is my 18th (official) deck...

I don't know what to say, I just really wanted to play with splicers. lol

I needed it to be on these exactly 3 colors, so after considering some options (like Ich-Tekik + Rebbec, or Chulane for "bouncing"), I ended up with Ich-Tekik + Ishai.

At first, I thought Ishai was going to be here just to add to the color identity, but the good thing I discovered is: He's at least an excelent early-game distraction. He will most-likely eat a piece of removal instead of one of my token/blinking engines. I mean, he gets scary really fast!

But after that, Ich-Tekik really carries the game here. He's second effect should not be overlooked... I discovered mid my first real game with this deck that his effect counts towards ALL artifacts going to the graveyard, including your opponent's. So, you know... Clues, foods, treasures, thopters, mana rocks, they all add to your golems. It gets pretty crazy with the dies, hence the "dicey" on the title. xD

So yeah, with this deck I make golems, then I make more golems, then I make MORE golems, then they get really big and hopelly I'll have some protection against boardwipes and win. This is all I wanted to accomplish with this deck~ lol

Oh, and one last good thing I discovered when playing with partners: Backgrounds are great! The ones I'm running are pretty tasty, like Candlekeep Sage triggering twice when I blink Ich-Tekik, or Inspiring Leader giving +4/+4 when I have both commanders out. The only reason I'm not using Far Traveler here is because all splicers are 1/1, so they're not very likely to be tapped... Otherwise, it would be CRAZY!

(Sidenote: It's important to remember that all splicers were errata'd to also be phyrexian creatures, and all the golems they make are also phyrexians. Usually I pick "phyrexian" for the effect of Brass Herald to hunt for more splicers, but also maybe hit Elesh Norn or Mondrak.)
