Game plan: swing with Jeleva on Turn 4 with haste.

The deck plays 10 haste enablers to accomplish this. Your goal during mulligans is to see 1 haste enabler and 3 colors. This deck doesn't work without haste - aggressively mulligan if you have to.

Expect to get one swing out of Jeleva, and then for her to die. You want her to die, so you can keep recasting and milling more. Don't be afraid to wrath if there's anything else scary on the board. I've even used Blast of Genius to kill her in a pinch.

Continue to dump rocks to make recasting Jeleva easy, and since your hand is mostly mana acceleration and dumps quickly, use wheels for draw.

There's a minor Land Destruction theme (Devastation, Sunder) since I have so many rocks, and if Jeleva survives, I can keep casting powerful spells without mana.

Win cons:

Counters to this deck:

  • Song of the Dryads and Imprisoned in the Moon are very difficult for us to interact with. We depend on our general, and our colors struggle to remove enchantments. Luckily, if you anticipate these two cards specifically, you can play around them by always making sure Jeleva dies before end of turn, either through casting a wrath (usually with her, for free) or using a sacrifice engine.

  • Vandalblast and Cyclonic Rift set us back heavily because we rely so much on artifacts, but luckily, the plentiful wheels and builtin card advantage means the deck can often recover.

  • Creature-less prison decks. Again, we struggle against enchantments and stealing creatures is one of our best win-cons.

  • Nevermore, Frozen AEther, Kismet, Blind Obedience, Torpor Orb: these cards just ruin us. GG
