Welcome fellow Timmys!'. A very long time ago, I set out with the idea of a competitive 1v1 Mayael EDH. "But how do you make a competitive deck without token abuse in Naya?" I hear you ask. Well since "traditional Mayael" is far too slow, we get to do something truly special. This deck takes the best of "traditional Mayael" but tries to do it 2 turns faster. As a result, we end up playing a form of Naya Stax where the creatures we pump out through Mayael create the taxing effects (ie: Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Iona, Shield of Emeria ). Fast initial ramp through artifacts such as Mox Diamond and Mana Crypt let us come out of the gate sprinting while cards like Ethersworn Canonist provide protection for Mayael until something very large and very mean can hit the table. This deck can win with Mayael, however, it will be considerably harder to do so as Hardcasting Eldrazi is never generally a good idea. Changes will still happen as the design is not final so suggestions will be well appreciated.
