the main idea of the deck
the plan of this deck is to play a slower more grindey gameplan. We tend to play according to the table so if there are a sushi hulk deck and a Food Chain deck at the table we should play out our hate bears, removal and card advantage engines to slow down the game and then wait for people to tap out and combo.
the combos
the combos are bomber man which is looping Lion's Eye Diamond and Auriok Salvagers also multiple Doomsday lines it really depends what is happening in the game to choose which line to do but as an example, something like Gitaxian Probe, Ponder and Thassa's Oracle we also have Isochron Scepterand Dramatic Reversal to make infinite mana with rocks or dorks that make 3 or more mana like a mixture of Fyndhorn Elves Fellwar Stone Elvish Mystic that makes three mana. Although not really a combo reanimating a Razaketh, the Foulblooded or a Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is incredibly powerful and generally will win us the game.
how to play the deck
this deck is built so you can use different aspects of the deck in different situations this deck is flexible you want to assume your position in a game with this deck early it depends on your playgroup if your playgroup is focused on combo then your going to take the back seat an grind because we can't out combo a combo deck.
If you are up against stax decks you destroy their stax pieces or counter them and mabye turn 4 or 5 them with a combo and if you are facing a mixture it depends on which has the better start if the combo deck as a turn 1 tutor or a bunch of fast mana you ignore the stax deck for a little and focus on the combo deck and the same for stax or control.
colors
for me it was pretty easy to choose the colors red does not really have a huge payoff it was sultai plus white or red white gives us removal and Enlightened Tutorand since most of our combos have a artifact involved Enlightened Tutoris very good for our deck and our commander's are Thrasios, Triton Hero plus another partner and Tymna the Weaver gives a lot of grindey value which is what we wan't
how to build the deck
now I know that this deck is pretty expensive and I know it can be very annoying to be on a budget. link for budget deck here I do add flash hulk in this version because it gives us another combo because we cut bomber man
Budget Competitive EDH Doomsday the Foul Blooded
this deck can be made budget pretty easily by cutting a few cards and a few other things like the mana base take out the original duel lands and put more basics and pain lands in and take out Lion's Eye Diamond and Auriok Salvagers because it is useless without LED and some other minor changes and if you are on a tight budget you should preserve the main combos and flexibility but you can change some of the expensive pieces that can be substituted easily for similar cards this deck can work in any meta so you really don't have to change the deck according to your meta although you could do some minor changes if you wan't to
