I LOVE A DECK BUILDING CHALLENGE

I knew it was going to be tricky to build a deck around Anya as a Commander since we don't have access to or for stronger tutors and other deck-building options. I knew she wanted to be a Voltron general, but I wasn't sure how to get there. After a few days of contemplation and figuring out where to start with this deck, I realized Anya's personality really wants to marry two deck archetypes in Elder Dragon Highlander:

Stax Show

The only deck archetype in EDH that's the closest thing to experiencing a BDSM party in cardboard form...

...and...

Voltron Show

The only deck archetype in EDH that devolves into a dick measuring contest.

At the end of the day, this deck functions somewhat like a Zo-Zu the Punisher stax deck splashing white.

HOW TO PLAY THE DECK:

SORRY! STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO CUT/ADD TO THE DECK! THIS SECTION STILL NEEDS WORK!

So the plan behind this deck is to grind your opponents' life totals down as fast as you can so we can get Anya's abilities online as soon as possible and start swinging for Commander damage.

Play all the pillow forts like Ghostly Prison and Norn's Annex to thwart your opponents combat plans against you. Then play all the painful enchantments at your disposal.

Tectonic Instability and/or Impatience both have good synergy with Manabarbs. So does Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Karma . Play enchantments like Solitary Confinement and Sphere of Law to help keep yourself safe or offset some of the damage from your own permanents.

WHAT THIS MERCILESS MISTRESS WANTS:

Staxy to control your opponents' permanents. Damage from Red enchantments to progress the game and move closer towards our win condition. A little lifegain so we can live to see the Late Game. And our Commander for the Voltron beatdown win-condition.
