Hideous End Discussion

I ask because I'm trying out a Master of Cruelties deck that uses side damage (Vapor Snag, Hideous End, Countersquall) for the last touch. If you had given anything like that a run, I'm looking for other ideas. Thanks for the quick response, though!

Responces to fools who believe attacking you can result in anything other than you're own death:

Cast Down, Chill to the Bone, Doom Blade, Eyeblight's Ending, Go for the Throat, Grisly Spectacle, Hero's Downfall, Hideous End, Pongify, Rapid Hybridization, Rend Flesh

Methods of killing more fit for one of the Scarab God's boundless intellect:

Coat with Venom, Fatal Blow, Necrobite, Touch of Moonglove, Virulent Swipe

My first deck was mono vampire tribal with a lot of life link. I had a play set of Vampire Nighthawk (still one of my all time favorite cards) among other vampires. Malakir Bloodwitch was my best card in the deck and my main win con.

I ran a lot of cards from the Liliana and Garruk duel decks. Bad Moon, Hideous End, Tendrils of Corruption among others. Mutilate was a fun card and I really liked the art work. Pretty sure I was only targeting other people's creatures for that effect and not my own (which I should have done obviously).

Our decks were not the fine tuned 60 card decks either. We would run around 70 in most cases because it just made sense to us to have all the best cards available. Hell, one player in our group had something close to 100 cards in his deck. Play sets of every elf available at the time of Zendikar's release.

Later, when I found out about the singles available at my LGS, I added Terror (another personal fav for artwork) and Pestilence (almost didn't because the white border bothered me lol).

A lot of memories with that deck. Sort of brought it flooding back when they released Edgar Markov. Vampire tribal was the commander I had to run from the new set, obviously.

I'm curious exactly what you like with black here. Gets you a mediocre exalted effect and a mediocre unblockable dude, but I think blue is just a much better fit, as it gets you more and better unblockable guys, as well as better exalted, and can let you dig for more creatures.

Now on to replacements for Mind Rot and Doom Blade. And I forgot to mention, Duress is good, but you probably don't want to be running more than one or two in the mainboard, as it can be a completely dead card in certain matchups. Snuff Out is a potential option that can be cheated out for a big life swing. I also like Chainer's Edict because it's very good against Bogles decks, but it does struggle against stuff like aristocrats or stompy, really anything that has Young Wolf. Hideous End, Grasp of Darkness, or Victim of Night are all options here as well.

Past removal, there are some utility cards that could be good here. Unearth is great cause everything's low CMC. Night's Whisper or Read the Bones can stop you from running out of steam lategame. Maybe you could just run some solid creatures as well, Chittering Rats provides some sweet disruption and has a fine body. I'd look to cut your Guardians of Akrasa as well, as the card is pretty bad. I think you'd be better off with another solid creature rather than running one just because it says exalted on it.

I would suggest Read the Bones over Divination. I personally find the skry 2 very helpful. Also, Grasp of Darkness as a 4 of in place of Certain Death and Hideous End and Doom Blade.

Didgeridooda the biggest problems now are the burn and cancel decks so it would be cool to have something to prevent some of that spells. Izzet decks are a big trouble.

Hideous End is a rly old card and it was included on the original deck that I bought some years ago but im not using it anymore too...shouldn't even be on Sideboard :)

Hi ohmless thx for your comment as I said any suggestion is welcome and I appreciate every comment.

Voldaren Pariah  Flip is too expensive for this and if I used this card as a game-breaking card I would need at least 3 creatures to sacrifice to transform it (what probably wouldn't happen).

Nightmare Lash is a good one and i've been using a similiar artifact to that one for a long time but it doesn't help that much the deck.

Finnaly Whip of Erebos is also a good artifact but I don't think I need life that much and Vampire Lacerator objective is just to pressure the opponent at the beggining of the game and hopefully he will use spend something on him ;)

Thanks for the suggestions guys :)
