Hey, you're welcome.

Some advice for the first thing to consider changing is adding a few more lands since 32 is low amount. Try adding two utility lands and 1x more Swamp for 35 lands?

  • High Market: sac outlet.
  • Tyrite Sanctum: repeatable way to make Wilhelt bigger by putting +1/+1 counter on him. After it's put a counter on Wilhelt it can be saced later to make Wilthelt indestructible.

To add three more lands consider cutting a few of the lesser nonZombie cards such as Mind Rot, Hideous End and Weave Fate?

Some budget Zombie upgrades to consider:

Some budget nonZombie upgrades to consider:

Undead Augur, Dreadhorde Invasion, Fleshbag Marauder are in the precon.

Death Tyrant has a powerful repeatable effect with Wilhelt and decayed. Any creature you control that attacked and dies while in combat you create a 2/2 Zombie. When decayed Zombies attack they're saced at the end of combat step. At the end of combat step decayed Zombies are still attacking therefore with Tyrant when they're saced you create a 2/2 Zombie for each one.

With Wilhelt and a sac outlet such as Carrion Feeder you attack with your Zombies and then sac them in combat to create 2/2 Zombies and decayed 2/2 Zombies from Wilhelt. On your next turn you attack with all the 2/2 Zombies and decayed Zombies and while in combat sac them again to make 2/2 Zombies and decayed 2/2 Zombies. Death Tyrant lets you repeatedly recycle all attacking decayed Zombies into 2/2 Zombies that don't have decayed. This recycling results in a lot of die triggers which Zombies can take real advantage of with many different die effects.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions about these card suggestions, ask here.

GrimlockVIII Thanks the deck has always been an idea but I finally got around to building something out of that idea. As for the planeswalker, if you play magic puzzle quest it is similar to the Angrath planeswalker and their abilities, except they prefer dishing out punishment for having creatures while this is for doing anything.

I have been looking at possible change ups, although the deck works well so long as we get our lands and a tiny bit of draw, mostly in replacing Sedgemoor Witch as they while their ward ability is thematic, the rest of their ability doesn't feel as much.

Ideas include Torment of Scarabs, Measure of Wickedness (would be tricky as you need to ensure a card went into your graveyard or you will suffer the 8 life loss), Nevinyrral's Disk as a Choice of Damnations backup, Hideous End as more spot removal, or Pooling Venom to reduce their mana options. The Pooling Venom seems the most fitting, but I am concerned about a lack of creatures.

Hi, I have ran a deck similar to this and I really did not like having the combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. They are heavy costed cards and you don't really have any protection for them if one gets blown up.

I love Sanguine Bond way more than Exquisite Blood. I took mine out and made my deck more of what you're asking for. I can post my list, but I would only as per your request. If you're playing in a multiplayer group, once you start extorting your opponents... they find that annoying, for some odd reason, and they begin going after you. I love Cliffhaven Vampire in the deck since I have 4x Soul's Attendant as well as Suture Priest. I get to ping my opponents for anyone playing creatures.

In your deck, a nice card draw-- and potential finisher-- could be adding Greed to your list for card draw or to pay a bunch of life into it with Sanguine Bond and Children of Korlis out to dome an opponent for a bunch at once.

I personally would make this just an Orzhov deck and cut out entirely to make your mana base-- even though you said to ignore it-- much more consistent. Instead, to go with your sitting back and waiting plan, you could add Congregate and Fumigate to just outright kill an opponent if you have Sanguine Bond on the field or to keep you from dying to an overwhelmingly large board your opponents have set up while you were waiting.

Some general improvements I think would be:

  • Taking out Thrull Parasite since he doesn't really do anything in the deck. He has extort, but it seems like you could have better options for your mana if you wanted to play more of a control game.
  • Instead of Intrepid Hero who only hits certain targets, run something like Murder or Hideous End.
  • Purity is good with Sanguine Bond out, but again, it's pretty heavily costed. Here I would highly recommend running at least 3 of Cliffhaven Vampire. He is so good with the "Soul Sisters" in that he hits each opponent for each trigger on the stack. I cannot recommend him enough.
  • Maybe run more board wipes like Fumigate or even Kaya's Wrath to gain life and deal with problematic creatures.

Hopefully this was helpful, and again, if you would like me to link my deck that plays along the same way your does, let me know. Have a great day and stay safe, friend.

Haven't seen this combo before, but it looks juicy. I think a problem you might have is just getting some guaranteed damage to get the Bloodchief counters. Subbing in a Piranha Marsh or two for some swamps could get help in getting some of those counters.

Vicious Conquistador , Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven , or Retreat to Hagra could also be a way to get some life loss going on. Though this isn't quite getting you there.

Something like Stab Wound would be perfect if they have a big enough creature to put it on. Highway Robber also guarantees the 2 life loss and is a man on the field or Hideous End for some removal, and to get a trigger on your enemy's turn.

If you are leaning towards Vicious Conquistador , Fell Specter and Arterial Flow could work up some good synergy.

Hope this helps!

I ask because I'm trying out a Master of Cruelties deck that uses side damage (Vapor Snag, Hideous End, Countersquall) for the last touch. If you had given anything like that a run, I'm looking for other ideas. Thanks for the quick response, though!
