Hey, there! To add more consistency to your deck, I'd recommend running fewer 1- and 2-ofs, and more 3- and 4-ofs. Stronger mana fixing is also recommended. I'd make the following changes:
- -2 Scourge of Skola Vale
- -1 Polukranos, World Eater
- -1 Death's Presence
- -1 Bow of Nylea
- -1 Inspiring Call
- -1 Genesis Hydra
- -1 Rampaging Baloths
- -1 Tuskguard Captain
- -2 Sylvan Ranger
- -1 Gyre Sage
- -1 Hydra Broodmaster
- -1 Heroes' Bane
- -2 Swamp
- -2 Forest
- +1 Scute Mob
- +3 Experiment One
- +3 Vinelasher Kudzu
- +2 Deadbridge Goliath
- +2 Renegade Krasis
- +3 Mistcutter Hydra
- +4 Jungle Hollow

Ah, I didn't even notice that lol. Maybe take out Aspect of Gorgon, Fog, Hornet Nest, Predator Ooze, Pharika's Mender, Gaze of Granite, Wasteland Viper, Archetype of Finality, Deadly Allure, and Gaze of the Gorgon, and add another Reaper of the Wilds?

Cool! Is this meant to be a Gorgon "tribal" deck? I'd replace Orochi Sustainer with Elvish Mystic or Birds of Paradise, and maybe Assassinate with Go for the Throat. Also, Sisters of Stone Death is another gorgon you can use.

I've always loved Clever Impersonator in EDH, maybe that instead of Phyrexian Metamorph or Harmonic Sliver or something? Urbis Protector is also fun. Finally, do you think that just one flicker per turn (with Roon) is enough? I'd consider other flicker cards like Cloudshift, Ghostly Flicker, Acrobatic Maneuver, and Illusionist's Stratagem.

So I've been trying to brew a deck around Elder Deep-Fiend in Modern, and I've come up with three main ideas. Which do you think would be the best / most fun?
I'm not looking for or expecting a competitive deck, and yes, I know that Bant Eldrazi is a thing in Modern, but for some reason, it's just not a deck I want to build. In any case, here goes!
Eldrazi Affinity. Turn 2 Frogmite into turn 3 Elder Deep-Fiend seems strong. The main issue of this version is that running the Fiend would take away from the "main" strategy of a typical Affinity deck.
U/W Control. Just playing Elder Deep-Fiend on curve T4 can be good, sacrificing something like Blade Splicer. The main drawback of this version is that the deck already has great 4-CMC cards in Restoration Angel and Cryptic Command.
So, that's what I've got. Any suggestions or other ideas for decks?

Hi! I left a comment on your deck, hopefully that'll help a bit. Welcome to MTG and to TappedOut!

Hey there! Your deck is 80 cards, so we should take out 20 to make it optimal. My recommendations are as follows:
- Angel's Mercy: a card that does nothing other than gain you life is pretty bad, as it doesn't actually impact the board state in any way.
- Rest for the Weary: see above.
- Sunspring Expedition: see above.
- Healer of the Pride: occasional lifegain isn't really worth playing a 2/3 for 4.
- Serra Avatar: While the effect is nice, 7 mana is just way too much.
- Armored Ascension: A good aura, but 4 mana is a little too much for the effect.
- Spear of Heliod: It doesn't help you at all with your main game plan.
- Vengeful Archon: same as above.
Hope I helped!
