Flesh Carver Discussion

I knew I forgot some. Unspeakable Symbol turns life gain into counters, Sapling of Colfenor is on point for your deck. Necropolis Regent will pump your creature's toughness before Ikra gains you life. Bloodspore Thrinax and Flesh Carver are great to trigger and enable Reyhan. Forgotten Ancient will flood the board with counters.

hey,

thanks for taking a look at my deck recently. as for your question, they're good cards but don't come back with Marchesa, the Black Rose, I like the abilities however. I love cards that are a double threat like Walker, and even considered adding Chasm Skulker or Flesh Carver Masticore and Bosh, Iron Golem has a similar ability to Ballista, but keeping the board state is what I built it for. But if you wanted to add them to a deck of yours, consider Master of Etherium or Metallic Mimic too

hope this helped, i'm always here for more advice n all :)

Westvale Abbey  Flip is really nice with Endrek Sahr, giving you a 9/7 haste, flying, indestructible, and I think trample for 5 Thrulls. Demon of Death's Gate is another nice beater that goes well with tokens. You also can try out Voracious Null, Flesh Carver, Deathgreeter, Gutless Ghoul, and Hecatomb.

Conspiracy allows you to get around Endrek Sahr's second ability, although you can always sac creatures in response to it.

Bitter Ordeal, Eliminate the Competition, Reprocess, Urborg Justice, and Plunge into Darkness are all nice instants/sorceries I run in my Endrek Sahr EDH.

Chittering Rats - Three-card combos in a singleton format are iffy. I wouldn't have Alesha, Rats, and a sacrifice outlet at the same time consistently enough for it to be effective. I don't want to force a combo to work.

Flesh Carver - Not too many of my creatures would be appropriate fodder for Carver, but I do get the odd token. I'll put him in the Maybeboard.

Lone Missionary - Seems a little... boring. I have Vampire Nighthawk and maybe Aerial Responder if I need to race.

Stingscourger - Constantly bouncing a creature isn't removing it, it's just delaying it. And an opponent could simply kill Alesha to stop the bouncing. Hard removal is the only way to be rid of a problematic creature.

I'm definitely going to pick up those two and jam them to see if they are any good. Narnam Renegade slipped past me when I was looking over the set, but it seems like a better version of Skyshroud Elite (which I've had enough opponents play around to reconsider), and Greenwheel Liberator seems like a good cheap alternative to Tarmogoyf that also plays with the counters-matter theme.

Hitting revolt is going to be easier once I get the two fetches I'm missing, and it does up the value of having free sac outlets like Carrion Feeder and Varolz, the Scar-Striped. Maybe I'll even bring out my old friend Flesh Carver.

Since these comments keep showing up in my messages, I thought I'd add a few more suggestions.
When I played Alesha, I really liked Chittering Rats, Flesh Carver, and Lone Missionary. The rats will sometimes end the game if you can recur them because your opponent can't draw cards. Flesh Carver gets bigger and is hard to block while keeping ETB creatures in the graveyard. The missionary just helps in damage races.
I never played with Stingscourger, but I would give it a try. Mardu has a ton of good creature removal, but sting is repeatable because of the echo cost. It seems like a very easy way of removing an opposing Doran, the Siege Tower or Courser of Kruphix.
You're totally right about Ghitu Slinger. That guy does so much work.
