Old Man of the Sea

Creature — Djinn

You may choose not to untap Old Man of the Sea during your untap step.

: Gain control of target creature with power less than or equal to Old Man of the Sea's power as long as Old Man of the Sea remains tapped and that creature's power remains less than or equal to Old Man of the Sea's power.

Wow, very cool deck!

For zombies in blue, I would suggest Rooftop Storm and Havengul Lich , but that's all I can think of right now.

Also there are a few dudes with Eternalize that have abilities that scale with their power. Any other 1/1 that gets better when it's bigger would work. Champion of Wits , Thought Sponge , Flesh Carver , Mausoleum Wanderer , Old Man of the Sea .

Also there's this guy that you can exile from your graveyard with the Eternalize ability, and then re-cast from exile. Eternal Scourge

I am sorry for the late answer. I was trapped abroad due to the Corona Crisis. Thank you so much for your suggestions!

Treassure Nabber would be so so great.. however I guess I really have to pass and stick to the theme. Thassa is in there, because she reminded me of the fifth pirates of the caribbean movie (firt movie i watched in the cinema with my now wife): The Goddess of the sea, that borrows her Bident of Thassa to the pirates to rule the sea. So... I kinda was an Auto include to me. Old Man of the Sea is so messed up strange from its art work, that it kinda has to go into the deck - but because of the Price tag I would need to become a pirate myself and plunder some ships

Since Thassa is in there, it looks like there can be piracy-related creatures even if they're not specifically pirates. So Treasure Nabber is a nice way to use other people's mana rocks without running any yourself. And since Thassa is in there, blinking a thief like Agent of Treachery each turn is piracy, right? Kukemssa Pirates also lets you steal their mana rocks with less questionable flavor.

Cut / Ribbons (cut to ribbons) is a pirate-y saying, right?

Barbed Sextant is color fixing with incidental card draw. Very pirate-y! High Tide is ramp-y.

Deck's pretty blue, so Scent of Brine might be useful interaction.

Does Killing Wave count? Devastation Tide wipes the board. Drown in Sorrow/Golden Demise are...bad..boardwipes for you, but maybe something? Also Powder Keg, Doom Cannon, and Coral Net are bad removal.

Old Man of the Sea is also...weird...

Lightning Round: Renegade Map. Tidal Surge. Pillage. Shivan Reef. Dreadship Reef. Soaring Seacliff. Lonely Sandbar. Breaking Wave. Explorer's Scope.

Oh what about Shapers of Nature, Hadana's Climb and if you are allowed proxies or you want some bling Old Man of the Sea?

Hey guys,

I want to use my single Old Man of the Sea in a deck. I don't know why but I see his potential in a blue aggro-control weenie deck. I already created one called The Old Man is sitting on ya neck..

I hope you can help me out with this a bit. Thank you guys!
