Court Street Denizen Discussion

This is really cool! I don’t play azorius at all but this deck looks like a lot of fun. I’ve also never heard of the 8x8 rule. Where does that come from?
Have you experimented with cards that have similar abilities to ones you’re using like Imposing Sovereign , Blind Obedience and Frozen AEther ? Kismet and Loxodon Gatekeeper have higher CMCs but they cover all the bases as far as what enters tapped. I would probably run one of them over Court Street Denizen since you’re only running about 13 white creatures. Ah wait... unless you have enough stuff that bounces creatures back then i guess my suggestion is a moot point.
Grand Arbiter Augustin IV seems like a shoe-in to help Lavinia hold down your opponents. But may not work for you if you’re looking to have creatures with ETBs.
I only really noticed you have Sift for card draw. What else do you have? Cause I must have missed some.
Anyway, Azorious is not my specialty but I hope I sort of helped. Good luck! +1

I added this guy to my Kemba deck as well Court Street Denizen. He's not a kitty, but tapping down all your opponents each upkeep step helps push damage through!

WhichKing - I like the idea of Stoneforge Mystic, but it's a bit pricey for me at the moment. Maybe around tax time I can look into adding her. I really like the idea of another token producer. I've been on the fence about Court Street Denizen. She hasn't really made any impact in any of the games I've played with her. I think I'll throw Heliod, God of the Sun in there in her place. Catapult Master has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes I just don't have enough tokens to make use of him. Not sure if I want to swap him out for Oketra the True or not. Maybe down the road. I have a lot of cards to try to swap in and out so it might actually be sooner than later! Thanks for the ideas!

What 3 drops do you think are least important and I should remove to add suggested cards.?

Not bad. There's definitely a lot of synergy here. Here are some cards you might want to consider: Mother of Runes for protection, Weathered Wayfarer and Solemn Simulacrum for some more land insurance/ramp, Geist-Honored Monk and Angel of Invention are both great token generators on bodies, Path to Exile and Oblation are both decent spot removal. I also very much like Grasp of Fate as it exiles something from each of your opponents. Mind Stone and Hedron Archive are both nice mana rocks that can turn into cards when you need them. Finally, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar has become a lot more affordable since it rotated out and works great with your deck.
Cards I would consider cutting since they are either not that good or too slow for what they do: Court Street Denizen, Frontline Medic, God-Favored General, Intrepid Hero, Precinct Captain, Requiem Angel, Twilight Drover, Call for Unity, Gideon's Intervention, Mobilization, Deploy to the Front.

Would Court Street Denizen be good here?

I assume it's supposed to be a modern deck, right?
then you need to make it more boring. That is "consistent": Decide on which cards are the best - are there some you really want to see in your hand every time you start a game? those you need 4 of. That's stuff like Path to Exile - it's just better when you have it. And you need to decide on how you are going to win. If the winning is to be done by big fat lategame angels, you need a plan for surviving the early game (stall until turn 4, then play Day of Judgment, perhaps). All this means: Remove all the one-ofs you don't really use to win games with, and bump up the number of those, you use for winning, and keep an eye out for replacing cards with something better. Why play Steeple Roc when you could play Flickerwisp instead? Same body, flying, but Flickerwisp has a strong ability and costs less mana (and lacks first strike). Voice of the Provinces is soooo overpriced - 6 mana for a microsize angel and a human token.
Also... eh... many of your cards are somewhat underpowered. There are reasons you don't see many Lionheart Mavericks in modern. Crusader of Odric is also on this list - it's only good if you are winning anyway. Court Street Denizen... all your enchantments (avoid playing auras on creatures without hexproof - opponent shoots the creature, and that's a 2-for-1 right there). Nav Squad Commandos. And several more (in general, assume that creatures for 4 or 5 mana should have a strong impact on the game, not just be random attackers). Instead, add cards like these: Restoration Angel, Baneslayer Angel, Gisela, the Broken Blade, Bruna, the Fading Light, if you can find the money for them.
A general note on creatures in modern: Lightning Bolt is a very popular card. Therefore, you have to watch out for creatures with toughness 3 or less and their casting cost. Guardian of the Gateless is an example of a real no-no in that regard; most likely you'll spend a full turns mana just playing it. Losing it to a 1 cmc spell just feels bad.
