this is a merfolk deck i've had brewing in my head for a few months. i decided to put pen to paper.

Then main theme as you can see is merfolk and all things fishy. with a slight Simic theme to the deck revolving around Prime speaker/hull clade and other 1/1 counter tricks.

The decks main win conditions are: unblockable Commander damage. Raw merfolk numbers/power. Field locking the board so that only flyers and islandwalkers can attack/getting infinite free counter spells.

The deck has a decent amount of recovery thanks to green/achedmy ruins. though not nearly as much as could be packed in (personal choice i already have heavy recursion decks).infinite turns through merfolk champion. Stealing enemy vultron generals..

Strengths: high card draw through commander/support cards. Synergy around islands(board locking/basic land hate)

Weaknesses: board Whipes (as most decks do thats what the counters/recursions are for). Only minor spot removal though recur-able once flushed with mana. Lack of Board Whipes(this is an obvious weakness that could be adressed with a few cut able cards Overtaker(yes merfolk)/Waterspout Weavers/Sapprazzan Heir/Wishful Selkie for more common boward wipes or less common.

Merfolk only tutors.i didn't feel like throwing in to many power cards to keep the cost down, and because of the large amount of recurrable card draw.

Low spell recursion for blue. (again something you can change with my suggested swapping of cards.

High number of nonbasic lands. Blood moon/wave of vitrol will ruin your mana.
