Core Loop – Cast a cheap Vampire → Edgar Markov’s Eminence gives a free token → rinse & repeat while pay-offs like Purphoros, God of the Forge or Shared Animosity convert that flood into lethal damage.

2. Mulligan Guide ️

Keep any hand with 3 of these 4:

  1. Mana – ≥2 lands or 1 land + a rock
  2. Cheap Vampire – e.g. Cordial Vampire, Blood Artist
  3. Ramp – Signet/Talisman/Ancient TombGC
  4. Engine / Pay-off – Skullclamp, NecropotenceGC, Purphoros, etc.

Ship anything with ≤1 mana source or all pay-offs and no gas.

3. Turn-Cycle Playbook

T1–T3 • Establish

T3–T5 • Snowball

T5+ • Close

  • Drop Purphoros / Animosity / Meathook and hold mana for Flawless / Teferi’s
  • Altars convert tokens to mana for instant-speed drains or board-wipe insurance

4. Card-Specific Micro-Tips

  • Reconnaissance – Attack with everything, then untap creatures after damage is assigned (pseudo-vigilance + protection).
  • Altars – Infinite loop with Ojer Taq + Purphoros / Impact Tremors (token dies → land flips back → new token).
  • Vein Ripper – Punishes removal; sac 3 tokens to Phyrexian Altar for 3B protection mana.
  • Hall of Heliod’s Generosity – Recur Meathook / Animosity in grindy pods.

5. Win Lines

  1. Token Burn – Purphoros + Procession/Ojer; two Vamp spells = 12+ dmg to each foe.
  2. Alpha Strike – Shared Animosity + 6 bodies ≈ 30+ combat dmg.
  3. Aristocrat Drain – Any Altar + Blood Artist / Bastion of Remembrance + tokens.
  4. Citadel Storm – Bolas's CitadelGC flips half the deck; sac 10 permanents for 20-pt drain.

6. Interaction & Politics

  • Telegraph Flawless / Teferi’s to deter wipes.
  • Aim Feed the Swarm at Rest-in-Peace / pillow-forts.
  • Offer drain pieces as “mutual assured destruction” to shape opponents’ plays.
