Amass the Components Discussion

bushido_man96 Thanks for the suggestions!
Frantic Search is too good to remove as the untap effect doubles up as ramp most of the time, given the number of "enchant land" auras I play.
Adding in unblockables, while synergisitic with the Card Draw Engines, does dilute the deck away from its original concept of Gunners Battalion. Blighted Agent is a possible addition as he's unblockable and can act as an alternate wincon. I didn't include him as Agent draws a lot of hate once he hits the battlefield.

I like your deck idea here. As for your suggestions, I think I would try to switch in Snake Umbra , Ophidian Eye , and Tandem Lookout for some of your loot effects, like Frantic Search , Amass the Components , and Compulsive Research . I think you should also consider running some little unblockable dudes, like Metathran Soldier , who will benefit from these enchantments.

I think this is a really close one and might come down to your meta.
@Podkomorka I like your choice of ETB creatures and share your evaluation of token producers. Your deck seems to be better at grinding your opponents out since you run more Man-o'-War style creatures and card draw. Your deck seems to offer more different angles of attack with the inclusion of heavy beaters, the Peregrine Drake combo, a way to go wide and the possibility to go Voltron (although rumpy excels you in the latter two categories). Despite what I've written so far I think I would cut Gearseeker Serpent and Amass the Components for more interaction cheap interaction.
@rumpy I think you can make a strong case for your deck being more optimized due to a way lower avarage CMC (2.80 compared to 3.39). Species Gorger seems to be a mana intensive general which makes me think one of the goals in building this deck should be to have a pretty low curve (although I might be wrong since I neither piloted it nor played against it). It also seems to be a good general to go Voltron but I think you should focus some more on protecting it if you want to go that route with cards like Elgaud Shieldmate or Shielding Plax or give it trample Pathbreaker Wurm. I think I would also up the amount of card draw by a little. I also prefer your choice of including at least some fight spells in order to kill creatures but I disagree on your assessment of Leonin Bola. I'd rather run Lignify against Voltron decks even though it can't be tutored via Trinket Mage.
After looking at both lists I think I prefer Podkomorka's list by a smidge but this is rather a choice of preferred play style than power level.

Of course these are just suggestions if you really want a card go for it
Some other suggestions
Your creatures are pretty weak, you can control your opponent for a long time but you're missing the dmg to finish it.
If you want to focus more on flying you could use:
Hope i could help :)

Hi, nice deck! I like the theme. I've got a few suggestions, if they're not what you're looking for pay me no mind.
35 lands and average CMC 4 seems low, even counting the emerge effect. There are still more good budget lands available: Temple of the False God, Evolving Wilds/Terramorphic Expanse, (which are probably better than Foul Orchard, but I don't know if that's included for flavor) and Drownyard Temple which synergizes with self-mill and fits in Innistrad flavor too. There's hardly any ramp here, what about Rampant Growth, Cultivate, etc?
Draw looks really light too, especially for UBG. I don't know if you are bound to flavor to the point of rejecting good ol' Concentrate, but we can find some on theme things like Treasure Cruise that appreciate the milling. Ancient Craving at least sounds like eldritch horror, and Read the Bones, Night's Whisper, and Sign in Blood all sort of work too. Sift seems better than Amass the Components since you'd rather discard than put to bottom, though Sift has no flavor.
As for what to take out that I haven't mentioned, what catches my eye as not pulling their weight are Altar of the Brood (without an infinite combo this will just help opponents), Enlightened Maniac (low impact, no graveyard synergy), Ludevic's Test Subject Flip (slow), Geralf's Masterpiece, Momir Vig, Simic Visionary (not a huge number of triggers for him, the only other blue AND green creature is Sidisi), and Brood Monitor (Nice with blink effects but you haven't any).

I would cut Artificer's Epiphany, Bone to Ash, Chandra's Fury, Cunning Strike, Scatter Arc, Smash, Amass the Components, Blood Feud, Bolt of Keranos, Drag Under, Metallic Mastery, and Portent of Betrayal.

I'm still working to Amass the Components for this deck, but I expect it to be relatively fun. Sun Quan, Lord of Wu to give all your 1/1s and 1/2s unblockable, then swing with Coastal Piracy out to draw tons of cards. Then you simply capitalize off of your massive card advantage. The deck is fairly susceptible to removal, but the idea is to not be a threat until you can win with something like a 20/20 Sturmgeist.
No data for this card yet.
