So I've played around with Hope of Ghirapur and Karn, Silver Golem commander decks before but it was previously only as a challenge to create a colourless deck. Traxos, Scourge of Kroog on the other hand, actually tickled my fancy and seems like it could be a good and fun commander.

The vast majority of spells in this deck will be historic artefact spells which will untap the commander, so in fact Traxos will be untapping a lot more often than any, pfft, boring and normal creatures the opponents control.

The Tap&Untap category gives a lot of ways to allow Traxos (and co.) to tap for benefits in response to its trigger, as well as ways to untap permanents. This can be used to gain greater value out of tap effects, use a tap effect and still attack with the magic commander damage power of 7, or simply to generate tonnes of mana.

I elected not to put too many tutors into the deck because a lot of decks I create with this theme (tapping and untapping) tend to abuse Yisan, the Wanderer Bard and Birthing Pod and I feel it sort of spoils the spirit of a singleton format when your deck efficiently tutors and ends up playing out the same way each time. Though there are also some recursion functions in the deck, I didn't want to go too far down that road with the likes of Scrap Trawler either, if only because our Commander untaps on historic spell cast, not artefacts entering the battlefield. In any case, I do that with an awful lot of artefact decks and I wanted to try something new.

So I guess this is my first time building a proper colourless commander deck, and any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated!
