2: The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Commander / EDH* Control Five Color

Bingbing

5 Colour - Superfriends

Child of Alara

Having all 5 colours gives you the best of everything, right?

Dictate play with your mass removal and slow things to a crawl with your extensive collection of stall. Use your merry band of planeswalkers to both hold the fort and deliver crippling blows when the time is right.

Themes:

  1. Planeswalkers - Your first, your last, your everything. You're gonna struggle to win without them.

  2. Extra Turns - Planeswalkers often take a while to get going, so why not just give them a bit of a time to warm up.

  3. Counters - Not the counterspell kind. Proliferate up, and exploit your bevy of counter-possessing permanents, planeswalkers included to their best potential.

Haymakers:

  1. Doubling Season - Remember what I said about Planeswalkers taking a while to get running? Keep this around, drop a planeswalker and just go ultimate straight away.

  2. Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker - The first planeswalker, arguably the hardest hitting.

  3. Karn Liberated - For what you can't destroy, there's exile. Please don't restart the game - that's just irritating.

  4. Praetor's Grasp - You've got all 5 colours. You 've got the capacity to play whatever the other deck has. It's like a tutor but way more antisocial.

Tips:

Your commander is just dying to be killed. Play him and watch the way your opponents play change.

Use Venser to abuse enter-the-battlefield effects!

Planeswalker abilities can be used the turn they come into play!

Doubling season will double the number of counters planeswalkers get when they enter play, but not from using their abilities, as adding counters is considered a cost

Many planeswalkers can protect themselves and slow the game down. Others can't - make sure to play your friends when they're most useful.

Planeswalker abilities are activated abilities and are therefore affected by Rings of Brighthearth.

Farseek searches for anything with a subtype of Plains/Mountains/Swamps/Islands - dual lands count too!

Proliferate works on so many things! Lux Cannon, Planeswalkers, the goblets - have a look for them.
