Exile target creature you control, then return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control. If a Pirate was exiled this way, draw a card.

Siren's Ruse Discussion

wraya2 I had Unsummon in a previous build but opted for Perilous Voyage as it is more versatile and had the added bonus of scrying 2 on lower cost permanents, which is very handy with Chart A Course. If you wish to use it instead you can and I would recommend Siren's Ruse to go with it since the evasion on top of a card draw is nice. I've personally found Perilous Voyage for bouncing and Dive Down for evasion and giving my creatures the ability to actually block to be more successful. They are definitely good sideboard options if you need to be able to bounce on turn 1 against something like RDW.
TrueTribal Cycling is not really an aspect of Blue I'm looking for in this deck and I find Glyph Keeper to have far more value in a match as it hits harder and has extra built in evasion and can even be reused later in a game. Curator would also push me over $15. The Desert is also far too slow for such a straightforward deck. Chart and Voyage/Ruse are enough when it comes to mingling with the deck. RDW remains a problem but that applies to almost every deck but slowing this deck down at all from what it's at would result in having trouble against Rakdos Aggro as well, which it currently does fairly well against.

Thanks! I do enjoy piloting reanimator decks. Mardu is my competitive version currently but esper is quite powerful. I put this together orginally to showcase reanimator synergy with Fabricate. That is now being reworked because fabricate colors are Green, White, Black which lack a discard mechanic outside of gate.
With regard to gearhulks. I build this to minimize the downside of G-PG (make creatures 4/4) Noxious is always good (i run him side)it loses 1 power to scarab and gift. cataclysmic can be useful depending on the matchup and loses 1 toughness. torrential is definitely problematic as long as you find interesting things to flash back, it loses 1 power 2 toughness. This was why i had smaller creatures with cool abilities. The big plus is that you can run Refurbish.
Examples of interesting instants to flashback that are NOT staples...
Time to Reflect. Consign / Oblivion. Failure / Comply. Siren's Ruse. Acrobatic Maneuver. Disappearing Act. Essence Extraction. Farm / Market. Ritual of Rejuvenation. Start / Finish. Tragic Lesson. Pull from Tomorrow. Failed Inspection. Insidious Will... i could keep going but you can see how esper can make things interesting. Nox in play, acrobatic maneuver on nox, draw, reanimate torrential, flashback acrobatic maneuever on nox again, draw a card = lols? These are all instants to make use of torrential. Go nuts!
Just remember you can always board into 1 of 3 different modes. Mode 1... creatures (like the deck i have built). Mode 2... control (like the deck you are intending to make) and finally mode 3... mill with The Scarab God+ Fraying Sanity+ Fleet Swallower+ Embalmer's Tools ...reanimated creatures are zombies. Could be interesting! Hope my passion for reanimator has been insightful lol. Like i said before i enjoy piloting these decks.Esper is very versatile.

Ooooo I like a LOT.
I have a few suggestions:
Hostage Taker is AMAZING when flickered, as you can keep strealing and playing Creatures, even Indestructible ones.
Deadeye Navigator would help you do this, and it's name is flavorful for Pirates.
Metallic Mimic would give you an excellent early play. It's costly to buy at the moment, but will drop in price when it rotates out. I like early plays in EDH that help to establish a strong board, as nothing much is going on for those Turns.
You have no Counter spells, when there are some VERY good ones that cost peanuts.
River's Rebuke is a nice card for interrupting one of your your Opponent's tempo, and putting you in the driving seat. Crush of Tentacles is also good, and suits the flavour. If you were going to use that card you might want some stuff in your deck that gives you no maximum hand size.
Tezzeret the Schemer looks like a Pirate, as far as I am concerned, and can help to Ramp. His Emblem would be fantastic in this deck, with all the Artifact generation you have.
That's all I have.
+1 from me for the Tribe.
Here's my standard version:

I'm practicing getting back into Magic and I played against your deck a few times (just picked a random Pirate deck). Take this with a big grain of salt since I'm inexperienced and was trying to play as if I had no knowledge of the other hands, but my Merfolk deck was able to beat yours quite easily.
What I found was that your deck couldn't really deal with tough creatures, especially ones that were being pumped up with counters. Captain Lannery Storm being boosted by Treasure was the best solution but that was it (and Treasure was being lost). Other than that, Fiery Cannonade was good but rare whilst Vanquisher's Banner would roll in too late.
Treasure gathering was also quite slow. Captain Lannery Storm was great for that early on, especially with Siren's Ruse to duck out of trouble, but she quickly became outclassed. Prying Blade + Siren Lookout ended up being the main breadwinner but even he would either get blocked by a flyer or be forced to block a killing blow.
Lastly, there were a couple of times when I ended up with the wrong mana. Too much black rather than red, etc. Probably bad luck but something worth mentioning I suppose. Unfortunately, I can't really advise you on what to chop and change, if at all (this is just the result of fighting against one particular deck 3.5 times, after all), but hopefully this research helps.

My pleasure. I like your changes. A few more thoughts:
1) With 14 creatures, I'd get rid of Shapers' Sanctuary. If you're looking for a 1 drop, I'd go with Siren Stormtamer. It also gives you the ability to protect your fish. Alternatively, I'd recommend Blossoming Defense to protect against removal.
2) Also, I would drop Desert of the Mindful and Desert of the Indomitable in favor of the corresponding basic lands. You already have 8 desserts without them, and they slow do your turn since they come into play tapped.
4) I don't think Storm Fleet Aerialist fits well here. Channeler Initiate is your preferred 2 drop, and based on your creature based, you probably won't attack until Champion of Rhonas lands on the field; so raid won't trigger for Storm Fleet Aerialist. I would recommend Vizier of Tumbling Sands (untap Champion of Rhonas after exert); Watertrap Weaver (control/utility); or Siren Lookout (explore trigger to get through your deck).

Yeah I'm testing Herald of Anguish live but in the time I've been waiting for them to come in I've been using Prosperous Pirates and it doesh still mesh very well but I wanna see what a disruptive and evasive 5/5 can do for me as well in the Herald. Id take Depths of Desire for Siren's Ruse

I'd personally recommend Siren's Ruse to flicker your creatures for evasion and ETB effects. It even gives you card draw on Sailor of Means. It'd probably help the most if you ever decided to bring back Revel in Riches as a wincon or decided to use a creature that drops two treasure tokens on ETB.
