Looks pretty fun; pirates have always been the runt of the Ixalan tribes so I hope this is successful. Some general thoughts:

  • You don't mention it in 'what's not working' so I assume you haven't had issues with it, but the lack of card draw in here does stick out. The whole deck is literally built around evasion, so Curious Obsession seems like a perfect fit.
  • Spell Pierce might help with the BW token matchup, as you can hopefully decelerate your board buildup to stop them playing their key token-barfing enchantments on curve and just fly over any weenies they manage to get out. If you want to make them mad you could try Crafty Cutpurse - even dropping it on curve is likely to steal you at least a handful of tokens, which you can then use for blocking what they've already got or speeding up lethal. Then, when they do their big play next turn, you cast Siren's Ruse and REALLY ruin their day :)
  • About the manabase - again, disregard this if you're making it work, but I don't think Radiant Destiny deserves to be here. This is already a 3-colour aggro deck, so hitting the land drops you need to curve out is already an issue, and you only have 3 lands that support it. I'd say cut it and strengthen the other colours you're having trouble with.
  • Kitesail Freebooter needs to be a maindeck 4-of. Aggressively statted, flies, gives you perfect information AND lets you pinch their key curve topper, combo piece, or boardwipe. What's not to like?

Tishana, Voice of Thunder + Siren's Ruse, Vizier of Many Faces, and/or Release to the Wind. With lots of creatures... mana dorks probably best.

I played Hostage Taker and it resolved, its triggered ability target a creature, in respond, I use Siren's Ruse to flick it, thus it entered the battlefield again and triggered additional time.

My question is do I got to exile 2 creatures/artifacts or when I flickered it, the 1st triggered ability fizzle, thus exile only 1 creature/artifact?

Also I target a creature with counters, and my opponent kill Hostage Taker in respond, do I still flicker target creature or it stays on the battlefield as if nothing happened.

Can anyone tell me how using Siren's Ruse on Forerunner of the Coalition would resolve? Would I get to flicker the Forerunner, find a pirate, then draw the pirate? Or would I flicker, draw, then find the pirate and put on top of the deck?

I don't own any copies of Fatal Push currently, main reason I put it as a potential sideboard. It also rotates out in September, a big reason I hesitate to buy a full set. I have been playing Ravenous Chupacabra in the deck, flipping it as needed with Siren's Ruse as needed.

I believe so! It would be pretty easy to sub those cards for something standard. There's plenty of other artifact/enchantment removal or flickering cards (Slice in Twain, Siren's Ruse). I just happen to like these (Root Out makes clue artifact token to help with other abilities and Eerie Interlude not only can re-trigger multiple enter battlefield effects but also get you out of a jam) and friends and I mostly play modern anyway.

But honestly they are there to sayisfy my desire to have a five color deck. You can also just as easily sub in a couple red, black, or blue spells instead to fix the colors as well as make it standard.

OK!I thought about it some more, and after a few test games, I realized Siren's Ruse would be way better in this deck than Acrobatic Maneuver. I also feel like there's still too much at 4CMC, not to mention that Glint-Nest Crane isn't the best card available. So I dropped those to 2, and cut 1 Hostage Taker to make room for 3 Siren Lookout. This also increases the density of Pirates to trigger Ruse.
