Kefnet's Monument Discussion

ThoAlmighty on Thryx, the Sudden Stomping

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice! High Tide and Kefnet's Monument seem really good for the deck, so I’m looking to make space for them. Urza's Incubator and Quest are a bit narrow, and Extraplanar Lens is a bit on the costly side, but I’ll keep my eye out to see if I can trade for one. As far as Coveted Jewel goes, I think the deck can defend/retake it easily, and plays well politically, but that said I may still cut it for one of the cards suggested above.

You might do well to double down on the cost reduction offered by Thryx and supplement it with stuff like Sapphire Medallion , Kefnet's Monument and Urza's Incubator ! Let me at those two-mana krakens, yum yum.

Here’s a list of cost reducers that are all budget cards that this deck would really benefit from:

There’s 8 others but they can’t really be considered budget. Another card that is amazing in a dragon deck is Sarkhan the Masterless That static ability is amazing because the damage being done to the attacking creatures is dealt before any combat damage. So if you have 6 dragons out they would deal 6 damage to each creature attacking you before they get a chance to deal any damage themselves.

Hello friends,

(Disclaimer: My first post, so let me know if I need to make edits.)

Could anyone provide some feedback on my two decks? I’m getting back into this after 15 years. Yay. For now this is just for casual play. I don’t mind spending a few dollars, just not many dollars. Thanks for stopping by and for any and all help!

I started out with a thrown together Merfolk EDH deck, even the Jace, Ingenious Mind-Mage . Two cards that got the table worried were Rhonas's Monument and Kefnet's Monument .

Cheap artefacts that reduce the cost of the merfolk to next to nothing, plus casting a few cheap merfolk could tap down all blockers, and buff your merfolk enough to do some serious damage.

Also, Murkfiend Liege is great once Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca is up and running, letting you untap creatures every upkeep and being able to tap them down during endsteps again for card draw/ +1/+1 counters.

Hi nice deck, I run something similar for casual play. I also run Watertrap Weaver , Wistful Selkie and Kefnet's Monument
