This is the Varina, Lich Queen build I've been running for a little while. For the vast majority of my games in my playgroup, I find GY recursion is a little too slow, so if a card hits my GY, it's pretty much guaranteed to be blinked out of existence by Varina's ability. I find if I hit Alhammarret's Archive or Kindred Discovery , card draw is never a problem, though I would advise heavily against having both out at the same time as you will almost surely deck yourself. Out of 60 or so games I've played with this deck (minus the Modern Horizons cards) I've only decked myself once. In fact, the ONLY reason Final Payment is in here is to get rid of Kindred Discovery if it gets too hot. Besides that, I've found this deck to be very versatile, able to go Aristocrats Combo or Tribal Go Wide with multiple lords. The MVPs of this deck are Anointed Procession , Ashnod's Altar (pays for Varina's ability for extra on-death and ETB Zombie triggers, works well with Anointed Procession for the Value®), Phyrexian Altar , Alhammarret's Archive , Wayward Servant , And Binding Mummy which I've found does a surprising amount of work in my games. I'm very excited to try out Bone Miser in here. The only two non-zombies in this deck are the The Scarab God and Wonder , as you can easily discard Wonder with Varina's attack trigger and The Scarab God does so much work with token swarm. I'd like to see what Archfiend of Ifnir could do in here, as I know it can wipe the opponents' boards every turn, but I haven't been able to grab one yet. I am aware that this deck has more enchantments than a lot of other decks out there, but I found it worked well enough for me. Any ideas, thoughts, or recommendations are appreciated!
