Mizzix Storm, but nicer than normal 2

Commander / EDH UR (Izzet)

judgementine

the Mizzix storm deck i crafted and have been running for quite a while. decided since i use tapped out for all my other decks that i might as well put this deck in here as well.

the main point of this deck is to draw until you find High Tide and then try to find a way to win from there. there are absolutely no infinite combos or insta win cons in the deck and no way to reliable be able to 100% be able to kill your opponent should you get to storm of. basically, the deck is nice as it actually gives your friends an opportunity to win the game and doesn't have all the highest power stuff that can really make mizzix fly. the deck still has some great cards that can be rather antifun like Capsize , Spell Burst , and Expropriate should you really need the utility or really just want to ruin someones day.

Metallurgic Summonings , Aetherflux Reservoir , Docent of Perfection  , and Talrand, Sky Summoner are all there to give you room to get your storm ready, and can act as finishers giving you enough tokens to swarm your opponent to death with. Reliquary Tower and Thought Vessel are vital inclusions allowing you to hoard all the spells in your hand you are going to be drawing looking while looking for your storm pieces. Reality Spasm , pour over the pages, Frantic Search , and Rewind all give you great utility when storming off by allowing you to utilize your discounts to regenerate mana and are especially useful when used after a High Tide .

primary finishers for the deck are burn spells like repeatedly Fanning the Flames , Guttersnipe , Mizzix's Mastery (especially after having stormed off), or the entire table conceding after you play Expropriate . Grapeshot , Temporal Fissure , Mystic Retrieval , and Mind's Desire are in the deck because it wouldn't be a storm deck without some storm cards, and occasionally you can get a cheeky win by storming a mind's desire into a grapeshot to have the hilarious killing the board with a 1 damage spell.

Charmbreaker Devils , Volcanic Vision , Mystic Retrieval and Call to Mind give you the ability to call back any key spell you need that you had to use earlier in the game or that got countered. Firemind's Foresight is a insanely good and key card for this deck allowing you to fetch out High Tide alongside a 2 and 3 cost, which could be Frantic Search . Seething Song , Grapeshot , Reverberate or possibly even an x cost card like Fanning the Flames as default it has a converted mana cost of 2.

Goblin Electromancer and Melek, Izzet Paragon are mainly in the deck to that extra izzet feel, but can still be useful as goblin electromancer takes the edge off the cost of spells until you get your experience up. And, melek can give you that extra bit of utility by allowing you to cast the top card of your library and have it cast twice. this gets especially good when combined with a Brainstorm allowing you to place a fantastic spell in your hand on top of your deck so that you can cast it twice. Inexorable Tide gives you the ability to ramp your spells out of control as even brainstorming gives you an experience counter, combos well with Fanning the Flames by allowing you to continually deal ever increasing damage while only spending 2 red mana per cast.
