Look How They Massacred My Boy

Commander / EDH Artifact Blink RW (Boros)

I'm not particularly happy with Odric in Crimson Vow, but I love the character and I wanted to try to make him work.

At its core, the deck is a "artifacts matter", "keyword soup" deck.

The main goal is to get as many keywords on the board as possible before casting Odric, Blood-Cursed to make as many Blood tokens as you can. To facilitate this strategy, we have a suite of blink cards, such as Ephemerate, Acrobatic Maneuver, Cloudshift, and Flicker of Fate, but the most important piece of your blink strategy is going to be Conjurer's Closet, hitting Odric's ETB every turn.

There is one infinite combo in the deck, Eldrazi Displacer + Krark-Clan Ironworks + Odric, Blood-Cursed , which can generate infinite and infinite Blood tokens. We have Hangarback Walker and Walking Ballista as a payoff for this infinite mana, although Ballista will win the game outright while Walker won't. The infinite Blood also gives infinite looting, which will guarantee that you find your Walking Ballista. Additionally, this will pump some of your cards, such as Akiri, Line-Slinger, Bronze Guardian, and Nettlecyst infinitely, as well as any Constructs you may have made with Urza's Saga. Since the deck isn't extremely proficient at tutoring, don't expect this combo to reliably win you the game every time.

Aside from the KCI infinite, your most likely wincon is going to be making enough Blood tokens to swing for game with Akiri, Bronze Guardian, Nettlecyst, Urza's Saga Constructs, etc etc. There are handfuls of cards to grant or share keywords, such as Odric, Lunarch Marshal and Akroma's Memorial to make your heavy hitters practically unstoppable.
