Maybeboard

A deck built around Lurrus of the Dream-Den . The main use of Lurrus is to recur combo pieces when they get destroyed or put in the graveyard in whatever way. When there isn't an active combo Lurrus needs to recur, it's also just a pure value generator with cards like Mishra's Bauble , Kami of False Hope , Lotus Petal , and many others.

The primary way the deck wins is through infinite combos of one form or another. There are several options; Kaya's Ghostform or Angelic Renewal alongside Sun Titan or Shepherd of the Cosmos ; Animate Dead + Leonin Relic-Warder ; or Reveillark + Karmic Guide . Pair these with a sac outlet and a way to use ETB or death triggers (like Blood Artist , Altar of the Brood , Blasting Station , and more) to win.

This deck can win as early as turn 3 if you start with the right hand. This is how it would work:

Starting hand: Command Tower , Caves of Koilos , Altar of the Brood , Leonin Relic-Warder , Animate Dead , Viscera Seer / Carrion Feeder , and any other untapped land (a Sol Ring or Lotus Petal would also work with slightly different sequencing).

Turn 1: Play a land. Cast Altar of The Brood

Turn 2: Play a land. Cast Leonin Relic-Warder

Turn 3: Play a land. Cast Viscera Seer/Carrion Feeder. Sacrifice the Leonin to it. Cast Animate Dead targeting Leonin Relic-Warder, returning it to the battlefield. When it enters, target Animate Dead with its ability. When Animate Dead leaves the battlefield LRW dies, and then AD re-enters targeting LRW again. Each time either card enters the battlefield, each of your opponents will mill a card from Altar of the Brood. Do this until your opponents have no library and you win.

Turn 4 and onward: If the combo gets interrupted, every piece is recurrable with Lurrus of the Dream-Den . If necessary, cast Lurrus, bring back your combo pieces, and win later. If one or more of your opponents has a card like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre this combo will not work on them. You will need a card such as Blood Artist instead to finish them off, since they can't actually be milled to death.

It is possible there’s another way to win very early; if you know of one please let me know

.

Potential Upgrades:

The land base could use an upgrade with cards like Godless Shrine , Marsh Flats , and so on. Upgrades like that tend to be expensive so I will most likely not be doing it soon, but if you’re putting this deck together with a bigger budget I would recommend upgrading the land base.

Another upgrade that could be done with more money is better tutors. The deck currently has Wishclaw Talisman , Shred Memory , Entomb , Buried Alive , Open the Armory , and Doomsday as its tutors. Wishclaw Talisman is great in this deck, particularly with Claws of Gix as you can sacrifice the Talisman in response to activating it so you can recast it from your graveyard with Lurrus rather than passing it off to another player. Shred Memory gives access to many different combo pieces or other essential 2-drops. Entomb and Buried Alive tutor cards to the graveyard, which is perfect since Lurrus can just recast them. Open the Armory can find any of these four cards: Lightning Greaves , Animate Dead , Kaya's Ghostform , or Darksteel Mutation . Two of these are combo pieces and the others serve as solid removal/protection. Doomsday is a bit of a weird one, but if cast and played right it should just win you the game (admittedly it is new to the deck so I'm just testing it out for a while).

These are all solid cards, but cards such as Demonic Tutor , Vampiric Tutor , Enlightened Tutor , Diabolic Intent , and Imperial Seal are extremely versatile and fantastic if you can afford them.

Feedback is always appreciated.
