Tilonalli's Skinshifter

Creature — Human Shaman

Haste

Whenever Tilonalli's Skinshifter attacks, it becomes a copy of another target nonlegendary attacking creature until end of turn.

The Jeskai version of Kamiz, Obscura Oculus. I agree with you, human tribal is the wrong direction. Value off unblockability is the way to go. Infect/toxic if you want to be evil :)

Blinding Angel is epic. Glad to see this old rare in your list. Auto include no matter which strategy you chose for Aragon.

Marton Stromgald speeds up the aggro clock similar to infect/toxic.

Battle Angels of Tyr deep value.

Sun Titan or Inferno Titan repeatable value.

Cephalid Constable really fits the theme.

Flamerush Rider similar to Tilonalli's Skinshifter

Orcish Squatters haha

Graceful Antelope the haha continues

I have a lot of recommendations for you. These may be pricey so I apologize if they're out of your price range but here you go:

In that case, you still have access to Tilonalli's Skinshifter , so I would run that one, at least. Flamerush Rider triggers your commander, even if you're stuck on 4 lands, and Kindred Charge could be pretty devastating if you can consistently get 3-5 bodies out. As for the 5-drop problem, it might seem counterintuitive, but I see no reason not to just play a 4-drop that's better. They won't trigger your commander, but they do count for Thundercloud Shaman, Sunrise Sovereign, etc. I would run Two-Headed Giant and Irregular Cohort before Kuldotha Ringleader, and Desolation Giant, although that's exactly not a 5-drop. Lower down the curve, Mirror of the Forebears is solid, and Bonecrusher Giant is great. Both can be grabbed with Sun Titan, too. If you want to keep your curve high to synergize with your commander, Boonweaver Giant with Eldrazi Conscription , Borderland Behemoth , and Realm-Cloaked Giant are all on my list. Also, since you're running Boros Charm and Sunforger, as well as sac-outlets like Brion Stoutarm, Bearer of the Heavens is a pretty definitive finisher.

@RNR_Gaming, I'm not sure if they'd really need to think about it a whole lot when designing cards. I'm getting the impression the card is going to be like the Stoneforge Mystic of Modern, because the Mystic remained on the ban list citing that it would hinder creativity when designing equipment in later sets. Equipment however is an already touchy matter as it's already easy to go terribly wrong even without the Mystic, ie Skullclamp , Umezawa's Jitte . Copy creature effects already have that same degree of delicacy to them as you're effectively cheating creatures in for free or cheap and even when the Felidar has not been in standard Wizards will still produce a lot of watered-down copy effects that can't be broken with combos anyway like Flamerush Rider , Mirror March , Tilonalli's Skinshifter , and I doubt we'll ever see another three mana planeswalker with a copy creature ability either.

But I digress, I don't think it would hurt seeing what it would do for at least a week or month as the best time to do so would be now rather than later. It might turn out very poorly, but we don't know as all we can do is speculate rather than find out.

Unfortunately this doesn't work because they don't do their end-of-turn things at the same time. Tilonalli's Skinshifter will still be a Ball Lightning when it's time for the sacrifice ability to trigger and you aren't given a choice otherwise.

The End Phase of each turn has two separate steps: the end step and the cleanup step. Ball Lightning's ability triggers at the beginning of the end step, as it says. However, "this turn" and "until end of turn" effects wear off during the cleanup step, i.e. after the end step has already happened (the game needs to have these separate steps in order to make certain rules and mechanics work properly).

So in your example both the original Ball Lightning and the Tilonalli's Skinshifter who's pretending to be a Ball Lightning will have the "sacrifice Ball Lightning" ability trigger at the beginning of the end step. They'll both get sacrificed before the game moves on to the cleanup step.

This will not work.

The Ending Phase is broken into two steps - End Step and Cleanup Step (R. 512.1). The End Step occurs first.

Ball Lightning's effect triggers at the beginning of the end step; Tilonalli's Skinshifter's ability wears off the "end of turn", and such "end of turn" abilities end during the second part of the cleanup step (Rule 514.2).

As such, the End Step trigger from Ball Lightning will both trigger and resolve before the Cleanup Step begins and Tilonalli's Skinshifter reverts to its original form.

If I turn Tilonalli's Skinshifter into a Ball Lightning, since both of their triggers happen at the end of the turn, can I stack the Tilonnali's Skinshifter's ability to shift back before Ball Lightning's sacrifice requirement triggers?

Have you thought about putting a Tilonalli's Skinshifter in the deck? i think that 1 or 2 could help you out if you just need a little extra stomping power.
