Ghave is a great combo commander, and the first thing I wondered when I constructed the deck was "how can I defy the laws of physics as much as possible?" The whole point of the deck is to return more value than you put into the system. The deck revolves around doubling effects with Ghave to maximize the amount of tokens and counters you get by looping his two abilities. The Ghave Loop™ is simply using his 2 abilities back to back to utilize a doubling effect. The following are combos that apply to the Ghave Loop™.

Winding Constrictor or Hardened Scales = 2 counters per counter taken from Ghave.

Parallel Lives , Anointed Procession , and (indirectly) Requiem Angel = 2 tokens per counter taken from Ghave. Primal Vigor and Doubling Season = 2 counters AND 2 tokens per mana sunk into Ghave.

Cathars' Crusade Lets Ghave create 2/2 Saprolings without actually sacrificing any counters, as well as putting counters on all creatures you control.

Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest Lets Ghave net 2 counters per creature sacrificed, as well as putting counters on all creatures you control.

Ashnod's Altar is an infinite combo with any of the above effects

General Combos

Seedborn Muse + Vedalken Orrery = Ghetto Prophet of Kruphix construction, lets you combo with Ghave on every single turn and play extra cards before your next turn rolls around.

Ghave, Guru of Spores + Mikaeus, the Unhallowed allows you to persistently bring your creatures back whenever they die.

I feel like it should be known that Enduring Scalelord can easily become a 30/30 in less than a turn with any basic Ghave combo.
