Isn't it about time you showed your EDH playgroup some rough, yet enchanting, dragon love?

Your question to the above question is irrelevant. No matter what, it's always the right time to drop Rith's Unexpected Saproling Tribal Enchantment Extravaganza AKA Rith's R.U.S.T.E.E. Trombone on your playgroup.

Confuse your opponents! Amaze your friends! Turn Verdeloth the Ancient into a kill spell with Purphoros, God of the Forge ! Have your enemies kill all enchantresses on sight, then laugh as your Rith, the Awakener turns your Wild Growth -type effects into loveable tree friends every turn! For maximum swag, one-shot someone with Argothian Enchantress or Verduran Enchantress after they get super swole from Cathars' Crusade .

  • Rith is not a threatening commander, generally speaking. Politely remind your opponents it's Elder DRAGON Highlander, not Extreme Durdle Hypnosis, and you should be good to go. Draogns are cool, therefore your deck is cool and most definitely not a problem. This is the exact opposite of my previous enchantress adventure, headed by Derevi, Empyrial Tactician . I had to state I wasn't playing stax so it was okay...and then the deck was way too oppressive. Three games later it was kill on sight before the draw. Whoops!

  • You play both the best cards and the best type of cards. Best dragon? Rith. Best permanent type? Enchantments. Best token type? Saproling. Glad we covered that.

This deck is an educational tool. Do you play with newer players (read: started playing in the past 10 years)? Do those new planeswalker things refuse to get off of your lawn? Do you have no idea what literally half the cards your opponents play do? If you said yes, it is your DUTY to give them a free course in the glory of 100% completely fair and balanced cards from the good old days.

  • SEND 'EM TO THE ACADEMY FOR AN EDUCATION! The look on their faces will be priceless when they realize Academy Rector brings the enchantment into play.

  • MAKE THEM READ A BOOK, READ A BOOK at the Sylvan Library . BACK IN MY DAY GREEN HAD CARD ADVANTAGE.

  • After they read a book and buy some land, HIT 'EM WITH THE Land Tax . Yeah, you go ahead and ramp. I'm gonna get fat stacks of land and puke it out with Exploration or Burgeoning . Good times.

  • After all this education, with a roughly 50% chance of sweating and shaking in a corner, your opponents will surely need to rehydrate and Replenish their electrolytes. TIME OUT. WHO THOUGHT REPLENISH WAS OKAY EVER?!?!?! TIME IN All the colors can just GTFO with their removal and feeble attempts at reanimation. This pulls over 1/3 of your deck back into play and is often quite one-sided. BUT WAIT, THERE's MORE! Now, with this shiny new enchantment called Path of Discovery , your little tree people friends turn Replenish into an even bigger nuke than it used to be. 10/10, would Rith, the Awakener combat trigger with Path of Discovery into Replenish again.

  • None. Everything is awesome. Nothing can go wrong. You are playing Naya colors, spamming enchantments, have Rith as your commander, and the deck is designed to be interactive and NOT oppressive.

  • I lied. This is a fun-loving deck and meant for goofy, slightly more casual games. A significant percentage of the deck is kill (actually exile) on sight. This is bad, and this is why you are packing Replenish , Open the Vaults , Teferi's Protection , Heroic Intervention , and a handful of shroud-enablers. At least everyone will be distracted while you beat them down with Rith and his tree people friends AKA GIVE THEM RITH'S RUSTEE TROMBONE

  • This deck survives a Blood Moon FAR better than expected. Wild Growth and Fertile Ground -type effects really give me the option to power through and get enough mana to keep going. In this particular game I used Academy Rector to get a Land Tax . While this resulted in me winning a few turns later, this also led me to discover a fun fact: there isn't a single basic mountain in the deck.

Stay tuned for my next masterpiece...Survival of the THICCEST: A Shattergang Bros Production (Sneak preview: I actually removed Survival of the Fittest , Entomb , and the most brutal parts of the reanimator package to make it far more enjoyable to play against. Word on the street is that nobody else enjoys a turn 2 Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger as much as I do.)
