Using Kraum, Ludevic's Opus to assault the air and grind out a little extra card advantage, and Ravos, Soultender to recur choice creatures from my yard at strategic points, this deck seeks to control the board with a variety of removal and card advantage while building up to victory through mass zombie token beats and Purphoros triggers.

Win Conditions Show

The deck seeks to win primarily with Army of the Damned, Rise from the Tides and Empty the Pits in combination with Purphoros, God of the Forge and Wayward Servant. Alternative win conditions include Sphinx of the Steel Wind adding to the aerial beats, as well as Psychosis Crawler and The Locust God comboing with the incremental card advantage.

Removal and counter magic Show

The deck has a slew of removal, most at instant speed. The hallmark removal spells are of course the wipes in the form of Cyclonic Rift and Supreme Verdict. We also have Volcanic Vision filling two rolls as both recursion and a board wipe. Spot removal tends not to be destroy based, rather trying to get rid of problem cards permanently in the form of Anguished Unmaking, Utter End and Chaos Warp

Likewise we have classic counterspells Counterflux, Swan Song and the new classic Spell Swindle .

Recursion Show

The deck works to make use of it's graveyard to get increasing value out of targeted removal, as well as support a longer, grindier game plan. Our commander Ravos, acts as a primary recursive source for my utility creatures that die in combat and boardwipes, or end up in the yard in other ways.

For permanents we have Sun Titan, Sharuum the Hegemon, Obzedat's Aid, Unburial Rites, Grave Upheaval, and Fated Return.

For instant and sorcery cards we have Snapcaster Mage and card:Torrential geaerhulk as our primary means as well as Kess, dissident mage , Mystic Retrieval, Past in Flames and the aforementioned Volcanic Vision.

Utility Show

There are some spicy utility pieces here, and Ixilan has brought us some of the best. We will start with utility permanents and move on from there.
