The idea:

I am a great fan of "instantly turn the tides"-cards like Deflecting Palm or Boros Fury-Shield but I have allways struggled to build them into a reasonnable EDH-strategy (partly because of the well known challenges of typical boros-strategies in the EDH-format. Then I bumped into this Deck: Sheldon Menery Presents: You Did This To Yourself, piloted by Ruhan of the Fomori and made by the godfather himself. I instantly loved the idea of making every opponent ask himself, before he attacs me: is it really worth it? does... does he have it? Problem is: since it’s not a faire color, I don’t like {U}. So I had to (1), find another color that could complement boros and fill the gap that blue would leave and (2), find a commander that would also only serve as a diversion by beeing a classic, big beater. That's where the {B}{R}{W}-Orc appears: Zurgo Helmsmasher

The strategy:

Basically, it's to make the opponents hesitate to attack you by constantly having the feeling, that everyone of their major attack could be a backslap in the face. That, mixed with the message: "don't try to do anything crazy: I'm going to stop you from from doing that!". The main threats here are: Deflecting Palm, Boros Fury-Shield, Honorable Passage, Reverse Damage, Backlash, Delirium, Reflect Damage and Comeuppance, but also Angel of the Dire Hour.

Stuff that say "dude, you should better not attack me"

That's: Brash Taunter, Boros Reckoner, Spitemare and Truefire Captain, which have a special relationship to damage-based board-wipes like Star of Extinction, Blasphemous Act, Pyrohemia or Fire Covenant. But also Marchesa's Decree.

Stuff that invites to swing at me:

Next to the Monarch-Package, that's Trove of Temptation This deck is quite weak agains token strategies. That’s where AEther Flash is also very helpful.

Inspired by the Best and with the purpose to make fun. All in all, it is meant to be quite budget friendly, while still beeing unique and unexpected. Feel free to comment on it. I'm open for any suggestion (especially budget friendly ones - e.g. the ramp).
