This is my take on a Numot deck. I have the card since it first came out and always wanted to do something with it, and here is the result

The deck is all about destroying lands and slowing down opponents' actions or outright deny them, enabling us to take our sweet time savoring their salty tears and finishing them off from the air. This deck is sure to attract salty gazes and make players gang up on us, so there's also plenty of defensive spells about to allow us to endure until our endgame is in sight

Make sure to look passive and ramp up in the early game. Don't start melting lands recklessly before you can back it up with defense and foundations to dominate the board

Mining salt is all well and good, but we do need some win conditions:

Other than those specific win-cons, taking away opponents' lands and restricting their actions is a win condition of its own. If they can't counter us and leave themselves open, the win is sure to follow

I will add a detailed description of the other cards and their roles soon

Cut all of the sorcery speed Stone Rain effects. Numot does twice the work for the same cost.

Lavinia, Azorius Renegade really good alongside land destruction.

Impending Disaster the cheapest Armageddon in the game.

The deck needs more mana rocks to nullify the land destruction. Gilded Lotus is great for one tap Numot activation.

Oh nice suggestions! Tell me what you think about this:

  • Lavinia for Stone Rain

  • Impending Disaster for Molten Rain

  • Roilling Terrain for Cosmic Intervention

  • Aftershock for Guilded Lotus

  • Raze for Mind Stone

Pillage can destroy a land or a rock for 3 which I think is worth keeping, and Cleansing Wildlife destroys a non-basic land for a basic one (if they even have one) and draws a card

Soul Partition can exile anything and plays into your Grand Arbiter Augustin IV angle taxing them as you take resources. Speaking of taxes and resource denial... Where's the Burning Sands?

Capsize > Cyclonic Rift

I know that might be a controversial take but Rift is one and done. Capsize is forever with your mana rocks :)

Cut some of your creatures. Palladium Myr? Vesuva cloning your Ancient Tomb is better.

Big fan of Dwarven Miner for the nostalgia (started during Mirage) but Dwarven Driller is cooler and you really need mana rocks.

Ornithopter of Paradise great common but you aren't running modifications and being a creature just makes it vulnerable to removal. A mana rock would be better.

Eye of Ramos, Heart of Ramos and Tooth of Ramos have been really useful in my build.

I have made some changes to the deck, including some cards you've suggested and others like Ruination, Jokulhaups and Dawn's Truce

You make a good point about replacing the Myr and Ornithopter dorks for less removable rocks. The Ramos' ones look very cool. Maybe replace the dorks and Mind Stone for them?

I like Burning Sands, although it might backfire a bit too much for my taste. What would you replace for it?

If you decide to go the Jokulhaups/Obliterate route don't forget to add Planeswalkers!

Burning Sands won't backfire once you cut the excess fat from your creatures. Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker clean swap.

Seize the Day > Aurelia, the Warleader

Kira, Great Glass-Spinner great card but is meh for this strategy.

I like Michiko because she can punish combat damage and other sources of damage like Impact Tremorsfoil and Orcish Bowmasters. When she is paired with Dissipation Field it's really a headache for the opponents. You can choose the order of the effects to cause maximum damage

Seize the day might be cheaper than Aurelia, but only allows for one creature to attack again and it's a two-time use card that ends up being one mana more expensive than Aurelia in the long run, whereas you pay 6 for her and she stays on the field to trigger the extra combat every turn for all my creatures. I'm gonna need every ounce of damage to win since I'm running a low creature count and most of them are weak and more focused in control

I will try to open a slot of Burning Sands in the meantime

Great points. I like Michiko too but Burning Sands belongs in this. Dissipation Field, Ghostly Prison and Propaganda are good but redundant. Consolidate that into something bigger like Sphere of Safety.

I also like Aurelia but this is not a creature aggro list. Strionic Resonator would accomplish what you want more efficiently.

Running Dust Bowl... Where's the Flagstones of Trokair?

Burning Sands > Rite of a Flame

Or replace with a niche rock like Cursed Mirror or Machine God's Effigy

Lightning Greaves > Whispersilk Cloak

Catastrophe swiss army knife. Might be better than Jokulhaups as you don't want to blow up your rocks.

You are running the three Surveil lands and Crucible but other than that there's no graveyard theme. My suggestion: Forbid > Counterspell
