Power Depot

Artifact Land

Power Depot enters the battlefield tapped.

: Add .

: Add one mana of any colour. Spend this mana only to cast artifact spells or activate abilities of artifacts.

Modular (This enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. When this is put into the graveyard from the battlefield, you may put its +1/+1 counter on target artifact creature.)

I added a Cavern of Souls I got for x-mas to help be able to cast my commander without him getting countered as well as an Echoing Deeps to help if one of the 8 lands needed for the monument gets milled or nuked and a Power Depot just to add 1 more artifact land because of Cranial Plating

Aye, if you're looking for more legal artifact lands in modern, I know Power Depot and Scene of the Crime work pretty well at budget. They do enter tapped though so I guess maybe just using like one or two copies of either is probably for the best since you already gotta deal with Drossforge Bridge entering tapped.

Galvanic Blast might be slightly better than Shrapnel Blast despite doing overall less damage just going off of how much a difference paying for 1 mana between spells is in Modern. It's obviously pricier than Shrapnel Blast, but you can still get used copies for around a dollar these days.

The newer Chainsaw might also be a neat removal option once the price for it hopefully stabilizes after Duskmourn's proper release. It's at sorcery speed and only removes creatures/can't do face damage but it's an artifact that can make your creatures bigger the more things die and that's the important thing.

Idk how it works/interacts with vehicles and if they get crewed later, but for your consideration: Rise and Shine。At the very least, works really well with the artifact lands you're already running. Additional land to consider running: Power Depot. With all the other artifact synergy,Kappa Cannoneer might be a good include and I'd definitely consider adding a Steel Overseer. Idk what to cut for them, but all would probably get some good value, imo.

I don't terribly like using Salvage Titan, since while it can be casted for free, it eats your affinities, preventing you to play Myr Enforcer and the likes if you later draws them, so I kept only one. I'm surprised yours neither have Scale of Chiss-Goria or Barricade Breaker, the former being a free artifact that's actually useful, and the latter being the thing you ideally curve out on during your turn 1 with the help of the ugin land. Vault Skirge looks funny, I might try that on my own deck. I'm also toying with having Thought Monitor and Power Depot in my deck, and possibly also Zuran Orb, but I haven't decided how I'm feeling with them.

2ND ROUND OF CHANGES:

REMOVED: Temple of Deceit, Temple of Enlightenment, Temple of Silence, Tempered Steel, Liquimetal Torque, Scholar of New Horizons, Thopter Shop, Sphinx's Revelation, Bident of Thassa, Alela, Artful Provocateur, Etched Champion, Armix, Filigree Thrasher, Myr Battlesphere, Filigree Attendant, Vedalken Humiliator, Tawnos, Solemn Survivor, Losheel, Clockwork Scholar, Marionette Master, Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle, Ethersworn Adjudicator, Indomitable Archangel

ADDED: Glimmervoid, Power Depot, Forsaken Monument, Mind Stone, Darksteel Ingot, Hedron Archive, Dance of the Mance, Thoughtcast, Thirst for Knowledge, Master Transmuter, Lodestone Golem, Research Thief, Treasure Keeper, Mycosynth Golem, Myr Retriever, Sculpting Steel, Mechtitan Core, Mystic Forge, Dispeller's Capsule, Dispatch, Burnished Hart

COMMENTS: Deck feels powerful, but one dimensional in that it's just trying to pump out big dumb creatures asap; kinda cool. I've played 3-4 times with the current iteration and I'm looking to speed the deck up a little bit; lands coming in tapped, not quite enough draw, and too many non-artifact creatures being the two major areas of focus. I've actually reduced the amount of creatures with this round of changes so I need to check that this is OK.

Lands probably need more work, still too many tapped lands by far. Scholar of New horisons is fine, just doesn't fit in the deck, same with Tawnos (who likely needs his own deck, but I have done a few cool things with him). Tempered Steel, Indomitably Archangel and Ethersworn Adjudicator were hard cuts. But I've added removal, ramp in so I want to see if that's better. Tempered Steel with the thopters was particularly good and may get added in.

CheapnFast I think Power Depot is a risk-reward type card. I've put 1 in but I can definitely see more being added, by someone more daring!

A copy or two of Power Depot would fit the synergies pretty well. Although it makes more sense in a two-colored deck, and it is a little awkward that it comes into play tapped, it is something to ensure you always hit with your Ingenious Smith ETB, and is a good sacrifice outlet for Throne of Geth.

So, right now, Commander included, you've got 126 cards. Seeing as you're only 26 over the cap, this shouldn't be too bad.

This is a low mana cost deck with a lot of draw, you probably only need 34-36 lands if you're being generous. If I were you, I'd drop some of the slower lands, such as Temple of Enlightenment, Skybridge Towers, Prairie Stream, Azorius Chancery, Castle Ardenvale, Castle Vantress, or even Port Town.

You might also want to include more fetch lands, too. Flooded Strand, Fabled Passage, and Flood Plain all come with a pretty high price tag, but they're all good.

On the other side of the coin, Brokers Hideout, Obscura Storefront, Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Myriad Landscape, Esper Panorama, and Bant Panorama are all cheaper fetch lands that you could use.

Drawing mana late game can be a dead draw a lot of the time, so being able to remove that excess from your deck can be a really nice tool to have, so you can draw just what you want. Maybe take out cards that are fast, but not necessary such as, Skycloud Expanse, Sea of Clouds, Mishra's Factory, and Crawling Barrens.

Changing it to this (or a list of just 35 mana), should bring us down to 122 cards.

As for non-land ramp, you have a lot. I’m going to say you want to kick out Silver Myr, Gold Myr, Mind Stone, and Ornithopter of Paradise. Normally I’d say more, but for this specific deck that seems to love ramp, this seems more than fine.

118 left.

For the rest, I’d say Ondu Inversion  Flip, Access Denied, Tezzeret the Seeker, Tezzeret, Artifice Master, Phyrexian Metamorph, Cultivator's Caravan, Invoke Justice, and An Offer You Can't Refuse, all mostly because they’re too expensive.

That leaves you with 109

Okay, so, this decklist is surprisingly tight for being 30~ cards over and I don’t know where to kick the last 9 off. Maybe Artificer Class? Maybe some of the creatures/vehicles? Idunno, good luck.
