Intro to Muldrotha, the Gravetide

Muldrotha is a 6 CMC Sultai commander that allows you to play one type of each permanent from your graveyard, ON EACH OF YOUR TURNS. This is still very powerful as it allows you to get continued value from Enter/death/exit triggers on your permanents. Unfortunately this effect only works on your turn, making Vedalken Orrery less of a good sounding card. Still, Muldrotha can be built around a very strong recursion deck and that's what this deck aims to be. Abusing continued triggers by using sac outlets in order to put stronger creatures on board, tutor, and even board control.

How to Win

It is important in this deck to get your graveyard building up as early as possible as it is essentially a second hand that you can use so long as Muldrotha, the Gravetide is out. Hedron Crab can help us achieve milling early on in the game.

By abusing creatures like Shriekmaw, Plaguecrafter, or Merciless Executioner every turn we keep decks that are less creature/token dependent off the board.

If we are up against a deck that is token heavy, the enchantment Pernicious Deed is about the best board clear we can ask for as sacking it with 0 for X still destroys all token creatures on board, allowing you to swing wide on someone as no creatures in this deck (minus the zombie tokens) will suffer from clearing the board with deed. It also helps deal with shroud/hexproof/prot creatures like my friend's Animar, Soul of Elements. If Muldrotha is on the field we can play and sac this bad boy every. single. turn.

Following Pernicious Deed we have Cyclonic Rift, which honestly is a must in a deck with blue. You may be thinking that if we accidently mill this card we can't use it. Because of Eternal Witness ETB trigger, we can return instants and sorceries to our hand as well. I've locked out people with cyclonic rift's every turn and won the game before that way. Saccing Mindslicer after a well timed cyclonic rift usually ends game's even more definitely

Combos

With Hedron Crab on field use Sylvan Safekeeper to sac all of your lands, then recur World Shaper with a sac engine on the field. Can also be done with casting Necromancy as an instant.

Cyclonic Rift + Mindslicer will make most people fold as it takes away their current way to win and discards it.

Oblivion Crown + The Gitrog Monster + Dakmor Salvage. As I mentioned this can let you dredge literally your entire library. The Gitrog Monster + Underrealm Lich also gives a high chance of letting the landfall trigger by letting one of the 2 cards going to your graveyard be a land. I was able to mill about 30 cards with just those two earlier. This combo + Oblivion Crown gives you a sac target for Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. The aforementioned Hedron Crab mill combo will also work very well with this as you should have most of your lands in your graveyard.
