The goal of this deck is simple: Overwhelm with numbers. The ultimate goal is to assemble an army of rats to overrun your enemies with fear and win. Ways to reach that goal?

• Thrumming Stone + relentless rat + Akroma's Memorial = Vomit out an army of rats (>200 power) in a turn

• Darksteel Plate + Crypt Rats = Destroy all creatures every turn

• Westvale Abbey   + 5 rats = flip this dude and smash face. Bonus points with Grave Pact / Dictate of Erebos in play for maximum impact

• Exsanguinate + massive amount of black mana = massive life drain to entire table

If you have Marrow-Gnawer and his token generation engine online, he combos with:

• Thornbite Staff (needs at least 2 other rats) for Infinite rat tokens + Bitter Ordeal or Akroma's Memorial to win the game

• Contamination to lock out non-black players (also works with 2 rats and a creature recur engine like Palace Siege)

• Dictate of Erebos and/or Grave Pact to make opponents sac 1 to 2 creatures per turn

This is one of my favorite EDH decks and it was always a blast to play. There are so many different ways to play it and opponents were always surprised what this simple deck can do. If finding different ways to generate creature advantage or assemble a winning combo is boring to you, then this deck is probably not for you. Imagine playing on a Friday night after work while having a can of beer as you slowly flood the table with those damn rats!
