Hi, let me present my budget cEDH Gitrog list I have been testing for 6 months. This version has an amazing price/power level ratio. I recommend to give it a try!

This deck is capable of turn 1 win. Examples for turn 1 combo hands:

Basically, it is not a turn 1 deck. It has a consistent turn 3 or 4 potential, can fight through hate and hard to stop the instant speed combo.

A typical line of play:

Turn 1: Land, mana dork

Turn 2: Land, Tutor

Turn 3: Land, artifact ramp, cast Gitrog, extra land

Turn 4: Tutor, discard outlet – combo win

There is a window to play some interaction in turn 2, turn 3 after Gitrog and the extra land was played, and on turn 4: Nature’s Claim, Fatal Push, Autumn’s Veil…

A typical starting hand: 3 lands, mana dork, artifact ramp, tutor, interaction. You have 5-8 draws – depending on the number of fetch/sac lands played after Gitrog – to draw the second tutor or the missing combo piece until the main phase on turn 4.

Top 3 cards I tested and liked: Slaughter Pact; Praetor’s Grasp; Wall of Roots.

Top 3 expensive cards to upgrade the list: Imperial Seal; Mox Diamond; Bayou.

Top 3 meta call card for the flex slots: Dismember; Natural State; Duress.
