Breya, Etherium Shaper EDH: Trinket Eater

Commander / EDH Artifact Combo Control Four Color Infinite Combo WUBR

Shinwizzles

Your eyes open, blinking at the first harsh light of your existence--blurry first, then focusing slowly. There is movement around you--...your wings! You're flying! Or fluttering, rather-- buzzing in a dimly lit room. A table in front of your small, fragile, and innocent mechanical form is strewn with tiny metal pieces--springs, cogs, gears, bits of wiring and minuscule motors. Some bits of metal are in much better shape than others, which look worn down and eroded. Some look like they have even been...chewed?

By angling your wings and adjusting the micro-thrusters, you gracefully turn around to survey the rest of the room. Startled, you see a figure, comparatively massive to your minute size. Before you can look at the figure more, you see something dart around the room, fluttering so lightly and beautifully in the murky dimness. A sibling, you realize. Another one of... whatever it is you are--a tiny, flying machine of such magnificent possibility and wonder! The other winged machine swoops in and cuts its speed to circle your form, analyzing you up close as you do the same. You and your twin inspect each other, marveling at the other's intricacy and design.

Your mechanical irises are drawn back to the figure in the room with you, who must be your creator. Her skin is pale, her hair is ivory, her face is one of watchful care. But the most amazing aspect of her body is that she appears to be hollow, and mostly made out of some kind of metal. Is this woman--this magnificent metallic master--your...Mother? Could it be? Is this feeling inside the beating and ticking and whirring center of your tiny flying mechanism... love?

The other flying machine whizzes through the air, circles the metallic crown perched atop your beaming mother's head lightly for a moment before being gently yet deftly plucked from the air by the graceful fingers of the kind-faced woman. She smiles lovingly at her creation, the life that she created, that loves her so dearly for bringing it into the world to feel and experience and live. The fingers that lightly hold the thin, metal body suddenly tense up and squeeze, balling into a tightening fist. The woman's eyes blaze savagely--maliciously, as her smile widens to reveal several rows of sharp, metal teeth with small cogs and gears sticking out from several of the gaps. The teeth begin to grind and rotate in her gaping mouth. You watch, frozen in terror as your panicked sibling, buzzing and whirring out in pain and confusion, not wanting to believe the one who had brought it into this world could commit such a wretched act of cruel and heartless betrayal. She brings the writhing and helplessly flapping machine, its thrusters sputtering out uselessly, up to her wide and horrible maw.

CRUNCH!!!

The front half of your sibling disappears into the mouth of the pale woman as icy horror registers in your servos. Several spurts of black, glistening oil jet weakly from the twitching mess of mechanical components that was until so recently your sibling. The woman chomps the remaining fragment down in one bite, smearing the black oil over her lips and chin. Her blazing eyes focus on you, still hovering in place above the table. Her gaze has you petrified as she approaches, you can't move, almost as if she has you under some kind of control.

Her slender fingers wrap around your body, lightly at first, before clenching down. Tubes pump terror and fuel simultaneously through your system. Her grip tightens painfully as you feel your inner gears begin to grind against each other and break, springs being warped and bent, wires being stretched taut and snapped. You feel oil start to leak out of your broken body. She opens her mouth again, smiling with her buzzing, crushing, metal teeth. A segmented metal tongue, still black and wet with the oil of your sibling, clicks over her teeth and slides along her lower lip, slicking it with oil and dripping saliva.

'Why, Mommy? Why? I loved you. Why?' is all you can think as she lowers your head into a dark, cacophonous mouth, and crunches down on the delicate machinery that houses the mechanical equivalent of a brain. Your last thought is one of fear, betrayal, and confusion.

Welcome to Breya, Trinket Eater.

Breya, Etherium Shaper is an artifact-lover's dream. She's a helluva Swiss Army knife, which, to me, screams combo commander, so that's what I went for. The theme of the deck is infinite combos based around artifacts and maybe sometimes Breya, Etherium Shaper's ability. If there's anything that I'm missing, or if there's anything that seems like it doesn't fit, please let me know! If you like the description or the deck, why not toss a +1 my way? As always, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
