Description

Dragons of Tarkir Cube

This is a mini Cube made using most of the Commons and Uncommons from the DTK block, and a couple of each of the Dual Lands from KTK.

All coloured Common and Uncommon Dragons appear in the Cube and all colours are equally represented.

It aims to encourage creative drafting and deck building, and strives for balance.

Played this Cube for the first time tonight, with friends.

As hoped, the games were very close, especially the last one which went for a couple of hours.

One player built an extremely creative tri-colour deck, so that ticked a box as well.

It may not seem to be the most exciting Cube out there, but it is as fun as hell to play.

Played this Cube last night with one person who has played it before and two new people, who were also drafting for the first time.

Everyone seemed to able to build decent decks after the draft was finished.

There was one successful three coloured deck built.

The games were balanced and went for a good amount of time, with the second game having a change of power toward its end.

Everybody seemed to enjoy the night. I think this was in part due to prep I had done by referring the newer players to a site explaining B.R.E.A.D., a site explaining the mechanics of Dragons of Tarkir, and to this page.
