Kolaghan Forerunners

Creature — Human Berserker

Trample

Kolaghan Forerunners's power is equal to the number of creatures you control.

Dash {2}{R} (You may cast this spell for its dash cost. If you do, it gains haste, and it's returned from the battlefield to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step.)

fszk I can definitely do that!

Step one is deciding on whether you want to make soldier tokens specifically or just any type of creature. It doesn't really matter, they're both good and fun to play, but I'll give you suggestions for both.

Anyway, uhh, I just said a lot of stuff. That's my definition of some pointers. You don't want to know what a lot of pointers looks like. Good luck and feel free to ask for more assistance. (:

Thanks again Shadowl_less_one! Unfortunately, Kolaghan Forerunners has its power checked in all zones, so as long as I control greater than two creatures, it will be too strong to reanimate with Alesha. Cards that can be reanimated with Alesha are cards like Nighthowler and Progenitor Mimic as they have power 0 explicitly stated. I actually thought about Selfless Spirit and will look into testing him as well!!

Did you also Consider Kolaghan Forerunners he can be pretty letal late game, technically his Power is 0 making him great for bringing back from the grave with Alesha.

Personally I would spread the love a little bit to add in Goblin Heelcutter, makes those late game blockers a non-issue.

-1 Anger of the Gods

-1 Kolaghan Forerunners

-1 Warbringer

+3 Goblin Heelcutter

OR, you could drop 4 Mountains because mono-red doesn't need 24 lands

All right so like I said last night, you want threats that work great with both Collected Company and Nahiri, the Harbinger. Also you have a little bit of an ally sub-theme going on here... I'm not sure if that's the best way to go but I'll list quite a few creatures for you to consider in your build.

  • Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip: 3 mana, and if you're using Nahiri it's likely late enough in the game that you can flip her and in doing so leave her on the field.

  • Vryn Wingmare: You have a really low spell base and a fairly cheap costing one. It is a good flying threat and can seriously disrupt an opponent's tempo.

  • Caustic Caterpillar: Good utility creature, not game winning but I'd consider him for the sideboard.

  • Dragonmaster Outcast: Stupid good late game value, he also helps attract removal away from some of your other creatures and only costs one

  • Thraben Inspector: Great little weenie that gives you card draw later in the game when you want it.

  • Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit: Stupid good value for obvious reasons. Also note that you get to pick the order for CoCo so always lay this one down first if you decide to add it in.

  • Consul's Lieutenant: Obvious value here, double white is sad, but CoCo helps a lot with that.

  • Citadel Castellan: Nice value, not the best target for Nahiri but can be pretty powerful in it's own right.

  • Crater Elemental: Nice sac ability, really devastating late game if you fetch it with Nahiri after you've got a lot of creatures out.

  • Deathmist Raptor: 3/3's with Deathtouch are never to be underestimated. Especially if your deck is capable of bring it back with Den Protector.

  • Hardened Berserker: This can offset Vryn Wingmare really well and can just ramp out a lot of value for you.

  • Kolaghan Forerunners: Another card to help scale off the number of creatures you have, Veteran Warleader would be a better fit though if you keep the ally sub-theme.

The deck seems rather solid and if CoCo wasn't about to circulate out I might have tried to build it. Hope these creatures help give you an idea for improvements.
