Maybeboard

I love playing this Titania deck. It is so versatile; you can play an aggressive game of churning out 5/3s and overwhelming your opponent, you can play a full-on Stax strategy, or you can play a control and card advantage strategy. All in mono-Green.

My main strategy has been keeping an opponent locked out of playing by killing their lands and beating down the other players with 5/3s.

Other win conditions:

  • The typical Craterhoof Behemoth and/or Avenger of Zendikar (though I find this a bit boring).

  • The Dark Depths/Thespian's Stage combo can be assembled easily and frequently. It's also a one-hit KO with Berserk and doesn't kill Marit Lage because it's indestructible.

  • Triumph of the Hordes, Overwhelming Stampede and sometimes Garruk Wildspeaker all basically are game over with just a handful of 5/3 tokens out.

  • Responding to a board wipe with Natural Affinity to destroy all lands and then make a brand new army of 5/3s is something I have had the pleasure of doing a few times. This will usually prompt a concession.

  • It's possible to make a deadly number of 5/3s very quickly with this deck. Being able to make them at instant speed with cards like Sylvan Safekeeper or Zuran Orb at instant speed and killing people out of nowhere is easy. I can pump out a lot creatures at the end of an opponent's turn and pull out wins that they can't react to.

  • Field of the Dead is a one-card combo that just won't quit. It's so easy to make an obnoxious amount of zombies with little to no effort. They are often just chump blockers, but in high enough numbers they can easily become a win condition in the late game. I have normal and Snow-Covered Forests in the deck to be able to fetch up basics with different names to trigger FotD more quickly.

A few other things I'd like to mention:

  • It's easy to do some pretty obnoxious things with Natural Balance, floating your mana then sacrificing all your lands and playing Balance means you search up five basics and fill up your graveyard and get lots of Titania triggers. It can also be used to trigger titania when you have tons of lands in play, all the while harming your opponent's mana.

  • You can use Berserk on your opponent's creatures. It's especially effective in multiplayer, as you can help knock down an opponent's life total and get rid of a problematic creature. This card should really see more play.

If you have any other comments or suggestions, I'd be very grateful!
