Play it safe

If your playgroup is running 6+ targeted removal spells per opponent like mine, you will want to edit this deck a little to take away the hate from Atraxa. I would suggest at minimum Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves. However, the direction you take when casting can make a huge difference. Every creature in this deck with infect can and will receive hate. Use that as a strategy to keep Atraxa safe as long as possible.

Play it fast

Sometimes you just know who you are dealing with, and Teferi's Protection and Heroic Intervention are a tutor away. Why waste slots for extra protection when you want that fast win. Swing in with any creature to get the poison counter on the opponent and then proliferate until they flip the table.
